Zack's Point of View
I have not seen Lenny in several days, but I knew she was up to something. I could hear the panicked voices of those who walked past my door, and when I looked out the window Haven, was no longer bright and full of life, but instead full darkness.
The air around me seemed harder to breathe, and the magic in the air was causing my skin to itch. Haven was changing, and I knew it had something to do with Lenny.
As I got out of bed I walked to the door, and tried to open it but like always it was locked. Then went over to the window and looked at the dark sky.
"Lenny, what have you done?" I whispered.
As I looked out the window and I could see the strange creatures that Lenny had living here. They were moving boxes and what seemed to be like cages but I could not tell what was in them.
What was she up to? I thought to myself.
As the day went by I napped, looked out the window, and knocked on the door trying to get someone to open the door. Of course, no one opened the door.
My stomach started to growl again, and I knew that I would not be fed. Since Lenny has disappeared she has not had food delivered to me or allowed anyone to enter the room. I knew I would not make it to see the light of day again.
I walked back over to my bed and laid down thinking about Cora and what our child would look like.
As I drifted off into sleep, I woke up in a beautiful garden. I looked around and saw a woman standing by a fountain and walked over to her.
"Hello," I said as I approached her, causing her to turn her head and look at me.
As she smiled, I bowed my head. It was the moon goddess but not like before. I could feel her power and love, something I never felt when Lenny faked everything.
"Mother moon," I said.
"Hello, Zack, and welcome to my home. Please come and sit," SHe said as she walked over to a bench and sat. I followed her and sat next to her.
"Why am I here?" I asked.
"Zack, my dear boy, I have brought you here because I need you to show you something."
"Okay."
I had a million questions I wanted to ask her, but I needed to find out what she wanted.
I watched as she raised her hand a ball came towards us, and suddenly I saw my mate.
"Cora," I whispered as I saw her bent over a toilet vomiting.
"Is she okay?" I asked.
"She is."
"Then what is wrong with her?"
"Morning sickness."
Just then, Elder Rachel walked in and held a wet rag to her forehead. I see the elder talking to her, but I could not hear anything. I felt the sadness inside me rise, and I looked at the goddess with tears in my eyes and said, "Will I see her and my child again?"
The goddess gave me a small smile and said, "Zack, you have two paths, and you must choose one."
"What do you mean?" I asked as I kept looking at my beautiful mate.
"I am sorry, Zack, but your life with Cora and your unborn child will not happen."
"What do you mean?" I yelled as I stood up.
"Sit down, Zack," The goddess said.
I sat down and looked at her. "Mother moon. I love Cora, and I want to be a part of my child's life."
"I know, but right now you need to save Haven. Right now you can not be there for either of them and perhaps one day your paths will cross again."
I looked away from her and Cora and said, "What must I do?"
"When you wake up you will need to call for Lenny. When she comes you must mark her and be her mate."
"No!"
"That is your choice. If you die then you will never see your mate and child. If you want to live then you must become your enemy's mate. Make your choice Zack."
I woke up with a gasp and sat up. The room was still dark but I did not hear anyone walking in the halls or any sounds from outside. It must be night here.
I got out of bed and looked out the window and thought about what the goddess had said to me. I could either die and never see the love of my life again or meet my child or I could bed the women I hate and potentially see them again.
As the darkness outside lightened slowly I knew that night was turning into day. I had spent the whole night chewing over this choice, and I decided what I wanted.
"LENNY!" I screamed.
Cora's Point of View
Elder Rachel and I stayed in this motel for the last several days, and she believes that this Wiccan shop will lead us to the coven.
Apparently, the other day she picked up a small burst of energy from it and has been stalking the shop ever since, and today we will confront them.
As we were getting ready to leave I felt my cheeks begin to tingle and I darted to the bathroom. I spent the next little bit vomiting, and soon I felt a cold rag on my head.
"Thank you," I said as Elder Rachel wiped my head.
"No problem. I have some ginger candies for you," She said as she handed me a small candy.
I unwrapped it and stuck it in my mouth as I began to suck on it. I sat on the floor until I felt well and then got up and washed my mouth out.
It took about twenty minutes and then we were on our way out the door. Hopefully, answers would come soon.
