DESTINED BY FATE

CHAPTER 10

It has been two months since everything went back to normal, Liam was his usual goofy self and Kyla was herself again. I was happy because tomorrow was going to be my birthday and we had planned to just hangout and have fun bug this time with mom and Charlotte, sadly dad wouldn't attend because of an important meeting he said he has with his boss.

I got out of the bed with a smile on my face, I was finally a year older then I was yesterday. I rushed to the bathroom, took a quick shower and did my business. After I was done I went to pick out my outfit for today, I settled for my favorite hoddy and Jean . I headed downstairs to be greeted with a bone crushing hug from my family.

" Happy birthday my love!. " 

Mom said while kissing me on the head. 

" Happy birthday son, you're a man now and that means we can share bottle of beers and watch football together " dad said while tapping my shoulder. Little cherry was smiling showing off her baby teeth.

" My baby is grown up already, yesterday you were so little and now you're all big and manly " mom said while wiping a year drop from her cheek. I felt loved and I would do anything to protect all them. 

After we  had breakfast dad went to work while mom and I were left at home. I was in my room when mom knocked on my door.

" Come in " I said to mom to lazy to get out of bed. She entered and sat beside me on the bed. 

" Are you angry at your father baby?"  Mom asked looking at me with a sad but genuine smile. "No mom! It's just he hasn't been home lately or bothered to spend time with me or Charlotte" I answered back sitting straight up, mom sighed and said as long as I knew that he loved all of us and whatever he was doing was for our own safety and future and that Everything  would be fine, she then said he had planned a little celebration for me and that I could invite both Liam and Kyla. 

It was time for the party mom had planned for my birthday, I was dressed and ready, I had also texted Liam and Kyla the location of the place which Happened to be pretty close to an amusement park. Mom was waiting at the entrance with Charlotte who was napping peacefully, she was casually dressed and still look beautiful. 

" Happy birthday baby boy, you look good  my dear " mom said giving me a motherly hug which I returned with a smile. We headed out after a few minutes of making sure the whole house was in order. 

After we got to the open field that was not to far from the amusement park, mom had done a little bit of arrangement, she had ordered a cake and a few drinks and snacks which were already set up. I was surprised and happy at the same time, I was glad she made time to prepare this little event for me, it meant everything to me cause it's everything happening she had time to be a loving and caring mother. 

After few hours of eating, drinking and mom showing embarrassing pictures from my childhood to everyone it was time for my present.

Liam gave me a new PS5 that I had been dreaming of while Kyla gave me a new phone case and a few phone accessories. It was mom's turn to give her gift, she came up to me with a box and handed it to me, I opened it and was surprised with what was in it, it had a ring with beautiful cavings of strange words on it that just gave it a mysterious aura.

She held my finger and put the ring in my finger, I felt a weird sensation at first but I ignored the thought and hugged her instead.

" Thank you mom I love it " I said kissing her the forehead.

We were all ready to head home but still had to pack our stuffs which only took a few minutes. We got home a few minutes later, Liam had decided to help set up my new PS5 and okay a few games with me while Kyla just tagged along. We always went home through the same route but I never seem to know where she lived or where her house was but I knew we followed the same route, guess I'll find out one day. 

Kyla left after a few more hours because mom said it was getting too late for a young lady to be outside while Liam decided to sleep over. After I had walked klya outside to her bike, she left immediately then I went back to my room saying goodnight to mum. We played a few more games and got tired after winning, I turned to Liam with a devilish smile 

"Hey bro! I've got a question for you man and you've got to be totally honest with me ok " I told Liam still smiling but Liam gave me a confused look at first but nodded that I should ask. 

" I'll be straight with you man , do you like Kyla? " The question took him off guard because knowing Liam he was pretty much ready for anything but this. 

" Why would you say or ask that, I mean what made you ask? Did she say anything to you ? " Liam said nervously. This was the first time  I saw Liam so nervous, he couldn't even speak without stuttering, I knew something wasn't right and I was determined on finding out with it was.

" So you do like her? Wow man who would have thought you were into hot girls ? " I said teasing him more making him uncomfortable.

" Fine man you win, I do like her OK! so what?, It's not like she notices me or think about he in that way man, let's just watch a movie or something and forget about this stupid discussion " Liam said turning to the TV, then and there I knew what my next mission was.
