Lorenzo Aubrey let that thief go and I was not too happy about it. She would have to listen to me because I was not going to have it. “Why did you let her go?” I asked, my voice serious as she approached me. One moment she was shocked and the next, she just looked as if nothing was happening. “She was my best friend, and you were not going to hurt her. I would not allow it,” she replied, walking past me, just as I grabbed her elbow. “What the hell are you doing?” she asked, trying to get away from me. “I will teach you not to challenge me,” I said, taking her to my room. She was struggling to get out of my grasp, but I was holding her firmly. We walked into my bedroom and I locked the door, pushing her against it, and claiming her lips on mine in a heated kiss.
