Charlie couldn't know it, but chase was a game all wolves loved. Even for me, a shifter who’d never shifted. She bolted across the main room, and my wolf howled. I grinned and took off after her, easily catching up and tossing her into my arms with my superior strength.
She shrieked and giggled, then covered her mouth, as if giggling was something she never did.
“I’m gonna keep you screaming all night,” I warned, but I kept my tone playful, so I wouldn’t make her nervous. It was her first time, and she was human. I’d have to dial back my usual s****l aggression. Not too much because I wasn’t going to hide who I was from her, but I’d save the hard f*****g for round two.
