Back To School

POV Bella- I woke up to my alarm clock blaring and sighed before getting out of bed. I stepped into the bathroom and started the shower as I disrobed and waited for the water to heat up. Getting into the shower, I place my hand on the tile, allowing the water to cascade down my golden hair and body as I lather up. I am going back to Harlowe Preparatory Academy and I can't even bring myself to get ready. I am dreading going. Every year I say I'm not going to let them push me around and then I cower as usual. I am not even going to bother telling myself that this year. I finished my shower, toweled off and then got ready for the day, then realized that my uniform skirt had either shrunk or I grew either way. It's short, like really short. I searched for another skirt but found nothing. Great! What a terrific beginning to the school year. I grabbed my shirt and realized that my chest had also got bigger. It fits me still but a little on the tight side, it pushes up my already full rack. Oh, I hate my life. I hear chatter outside my window and realize I'm running behind and I need to get my butt to breakfast before I miss out on getting a meal. I grabbed my bag, threw in my books, and ran out of the dormitories straight towards the dining hall. As I walked in, I heard someone whistle then do a wolf howl. I don't dare turn around. I know it's Alexander 'Xander' Saint, the school bad boy and my personal bully. I continued to walk up towards the line, then I smelled his sandalwood cologne and mint behind me. Did he just budge to get in line behind me? I know better than to look though, because nothing good ever comes from looking at Xander, so I try my best to ignore him and walk up to the lunch lady who is waiting for my order. " I'll take a veggie omelet, egg-whites only, two slices of whole wheat toast, a small packet of butter, and a fruit bowl. Thank you." She types away at her keyboard then lowers her glasses, peering at me over them, " What to drink?" Oh yeah I forgot about that. I look at her before saying, " I'll just have bottled water." I hear a sneer behind me, " Figures. What's the matter, kitten? Are you on a diet?" Yeah, because of his taunting me about my weight and telling me to hide myself under sweaters, jackets, and even wear pants to school. I didn't understand then and still don't know what my appearance has to do with him. I mean, if you find me so repulsive, don't look. I handed the lunch lady my card, she swiped it, and handed it back to me. I grabbed my tray and headed outside to my table. I sit alone. I have a few friends but not many people will talk to me outside my group thanks to Xander. He’s made it difficult. He won't let anyone HE doesn't approve of talk to me, especially guys. Anytime a guy even looked in my direction, Xander would make it his goal to spread some rumor or something and they would never talk to me again, except for Nate, one of Xander's friends. He was always different. Nate has never let Xander's threats dictate my friendship with him. I don't know why Xander even cares about a worthless nobody like me, but he makes it his goal in life to keep tabs on every single thing I do, especially on campus, since the Dean of Admissions is his uncle. Lost in my thoughts, I'm sprawled out on the bench with my notebook open to my song lyrics page, eating my omelet and just as I'm about to take a bite of my toast, a strong hand grabs the tray from me. I smelled his sandalwood cologne and mint. Don't look, Bella. Ignore him. I ignored him, trying my best not to look at him, but I could feel his presence, so slowly I turned around and came face to face with Xander Saint. He looked at me, his emerald green eyes held mine captive and he held the tray just out of my reach as his 6ft5 height over- towering my 5ft5 frame. He often uses his height to intimidate people into getting what he wants. It works, too. People do what he says, even teachers turn a blind eye. His father, Nicodemus Robert Saint, was a highly respected business man in Harlowe who owned half the town's properties, and it's been said he had ties to the mafia and had the police, government officials, and the town's people all in his pocket, although no one knows for sure but Xander uses his father's power to influence people. Xander is the heartthrob of campus with his dark wavy brown hair, emerald green eyes that hint mischief, strong, broad shoulders, a chiseled jawline that could cut you, and a sculpted eight-pack abs which shows through the tight-fitting uniform shirts he wears with a 'V' indent that leads downward. I have seen him with his shirt off plenty of times at Nate's. After all, my aunt lives right nextdoor to him and I have been invited over to swim in his pool. Sometimes Xander would be there. Although he's s*x in jeans, he is as arrogant as they come. Feeling my stomach grumble, I tried to reason with him, " Please give me back my tray, Xander." He smirked at me then grabbed a piece of my toast and continued holding it just out of my reach, " You'll have to come get it, kitten. Let me see you beg." I grabbed at my tray and he went higher. I jumped up to get it and he smiled wider as he stared at my chest. I stopped jumping, realizing my breasts were bouncing up and down. Oh yeah he was getting a pretty good show, especially since my shirt was about to burst open. Pervert! " Don't stop, for my benefit, kitten." He looked at my chest again and I wanted to slap that smug expression off his face. I climbed onto the picnic table, trying to get my hand on my tray. I lunged at him and lost my balance, falling down to the ground. Just as I am about to hit the ground, I feel an arm snake around my waist, ZAP I feel a jolt. I look up and see Xander staring down at me. He handed me my tray and he still had his arm around me. I blushed and turned away from him, then he grabbed my chin, forcing me to look at him," I missed you, kitten." Sure he did. I'm sure that I didn't cross his mind once the whole summer other than coming up with new ways to bully me. “Somehow I doubt that. I’m pretty sure it’s just the opposite, in fact.” I rolled my eyes at him in annoyance. He motions to his chest,“ You’re breaking my heart, Dolly. I honestly did miss you.” So now he has yet another pet name for me.He pulled me closer to his chest and tried to kiss my cheek. What the hell is he doing? This is so not like him.
