I was a little irritated by the fact Lena didn't stop following me at first; it was because I wasn't used to being around other people like this. I was used to people following me to chastise me, not because they saw me as a potential friend. We continued to walk together, and I wondered what she was doing when even I didn't know where I was going. I was walking from the campsite in the opposite direction to the one Ares and Zaahra were in, and it meant I was walking through a largely empty field when Lena caught up to me. Now, we were just walking through the field with no aim in sight. "Why did you really follow me, Lena?" I asked her directly, but I didn't expect an answer; I expected the same awkward floundering response from her as before. She didn't owe me an answer, anyway.
