Most of the members of Luc’s pack used to make comments about my hair. I preferred to wear it long, and I was used to the stupid remarks about trying to trick people into believing I was a real white wolf. I didn’t take those comments seriously; I knew that the words were rooted in jealousy. When I was told I looked ridiculous or hideous I ignored it. I couldn’t change the color of my hair or my eyes. Cutting my hair into an unflattering style was not going to make me any less appealing to anyone who was interested in me because they believed I was a white wolf.
