I moved up close to Ares again when he lay back down beside me. His chest was warm against my cheek and his heart was still racing as he played absentmindedly with my hair.
“I might see if the others want to stay here another day. Would you like that?”
“I don’t think it matters what I would like; that wouldn’t be very subtle and we’re already taking too many risks - if anyone comes to find you now they’ll know about what we’ve been doing.”
“It’s not only because I want to spend time with you. It will give everyone a chance to stock up properly, and to make sure we don’t forget anything. And I will enjoy spending my day in here with you instead of walking next to Zaahra and avoiding any actual conversation with her.”
