Jayden goes back to the motel, as he said he would. He sets up his laptop so he can look through all the research they have saved. He also spreads out all the source books they keep with them when they travel. They only travel with the most important books, and keep others stored in a few self-storage lockers.
As Jayden is leafing through a book, he gets a text from Elijah.
Haven’t seen the markings before. Chogan hasn’t either. No leads. Still looking.
Jayden sighs. It doesn’t look like anyone is hitting pay dirt. He also sighs at the thought of Eli. It’s weird. Jayden has had feelings for Eli for a long time. He thinks he deals with it well, hides it well. Half the time he manages not to even think about it. But seeing Elijah with another man makes it so much worse.
