s there something wrong,
With my heart, my mind.
I want her around me,
All day, all time.
Xander
Hailey and I needed to have a word. Freya was my and my target alone. No one else was allowed to pick on her. But she went on locking the girl in washroom, stupid as she is I never thought she will bother with Freya
Freya was not even as pretty as she is...was she?
I am trying hard to break her but damn she is patient. She had the nerve to through the ball at me but I let it go just this once. She looked exhausted with bags under her eyes. No, I was not guilty at all for making her work. I want her gone.
I have never met a girl who rattled my nerves. Seriously, she was so annoying that most of the time my thoughts wander to her, planning to annoy her.
For now she was my entertainment.
She was holding well, she avoided crying in front of me which I am sure was a way to show that she was brave enough.
“where?” She asked as I pulled her along.
I have been with more girls than I could remember but touching her gave me a shock, literally.
“To get you a new phone.” I told her enjoying her struggle to free from my touch.
Her expression said that she thought I was bipolar. Well, I couldn’t blame her, I was being this way.
I loved troubling her but if anyone else was doing it, it annoyed me. This is pretty much insane behaviour.
“What? Why?” She asked finally.
“Because I needed a new way of communicating with my slave. I might now need you at anytime, maybe even after midnight.” I told her the reason that I will be annoying her further and the expression on her face was priceless.

“Mr. Comhan, how can I help you?” A pretty sales girl asked me as I looked around for phone.
Everyone knew my dad in this town so naturally they knew me too.
“I am looking for latest model of best cell phone.” I ordered her.
“Sure, sir. This way please.” She said with a little wariness.
“I don’t need your charity, master.” Freya said surprising me with her words.
Girls love me for my money, but she was being difficult about the whole thing.
“It is not charity. You sold the phone for my t-shirt.” I reasoned.
“A simple apology will suffice. I can get my own phone.” She said in a clipped tone.
I am buying her a phone, she wants it or not.
Apology, not in a million years.
“Here this looks good and have nice configuration. Are you a gaming person then we need more RAM?” I asked her looking at three best ones I selected.
She looked at the price on the box and her eyes widened.
“No-freaking-way I am letting you buy this for me. I can’t pay you back.” She whined looking pained.
Can’t she accept a gift from someone? Though I really have no idea why I was buying her this? I never even gifted something to Hailey or anyone, not even Josh.
This is not a gift, this is a way to call her.
“I don’t need you to pay back. You are my slave New girl, you will do as I say or do you want to sing for me here in store?” I threatened her.
This was crazy, I was threatening her to take a expensive gift when girls die for this chance.
She crushed her lower lip while she tried to come to a decision. I felt uneasy all of a sudden and looked away.
“Fine.” She muttered and I felt a sense of victory.
“Give me this one.” I said without letting her choose one lest she chose the least expensive of the three.
She looked guilty about whole thing? There was something wrong with the girl. Why was she feeling guilty? I thought she will be happy about the whole thing since I paid for her loss.
“Here I put my number in here and I want you to answer whenever I call, whenever. Got it?” I asked and she nodded giving me dry look.
“And don’t try making excuses. You will do my homework no matter if you are a damn waitress.” I told her suddenly annoyed at her lack of response to me.
She never talked with me and when she did, she is either apologising or cursing me.
Like you have been super nice!

Why the hell is she in this school when she was poor enough to work as a waitress and that too at Barney’s? She has a boyfriend? But who, is he from our town? Is he from where she came home?
No, that can’t be, that hickey looked fresh.
“Dude, are you even listening?” Josh, a member of basketball team asked.
“Yes, I am.” I lied and glared coldly at him.
He sighed knowing well enough I was not listening and that there was nothing he can do about it.
“Let’s ditch school tomorrow. And attend Allison’s party.” Josh said.
Party was always fun, drinks, girls and endless crazy games. Allison was Josh’s friend who was in college and her parties were extravagant. But we had to drive around two hours to reach her villa, which was close to the Ristwedge University.
Being in a party was the closest thing that made me forget about the aching vacuum in my heart.
But then I realised I can’t, Freya Morenson was my slave for this week. I cannot let it go waste.
“You guys go, I will ditch the party this time.” My words shocked them all.
“You are saying no to an Allison party?” Josh asked looking shell shocked.
I nodded not sure I was making the right choice.
“It will be fun Lex and bring along your maid.” Josh said giving me a suggestive look which I had no idea what it meant.
Bringing that naive girl in a party filled with drunken boys was not a good idea. I didn’t want any trouble.
“No, I will stay back. Mom needs help with the ball next week.” I lied convincing my friends.
And they all started discussing about the party and the plans for the day.
“Where are the hell we going Nick?” I asked the guy driving the car.
“Barney’s.” He said and I felt like cursing out loud.
Shit!
“Why?” I asked through gritted teeth.
“Because Hailey and girls asked us to meet there.” He said as if I should have known that piece of information.
This was a fate created mess. Freya had her shift at Barney’s.
And here my whole team is going there, why not any other diner?
***
My eyes scanned for her. Why? Just because I wanted to know that she was not lying about the whole shift thing to escape from homework, no other reason.
And then I saw her behind the counters. She was busy writing something in a book and when the bell dinged she would take the meal to the table. There was an old lady smiling at her as she tried to get back to her writing.
Was she doing homework? Was she over-worked?
So what? You want her gone, this will make her leave.
Again the old lady came and instructed her something making her look up to our table. Our eyes met and her eyes widened. She gulped and closed her eyes as if cursing her bad luck. When she opened them, she looked pained. She was pained to see me? It was not a common response from females.
She came to us with a notepad and pen.
“What would you like to order?” She asked and all my friends looked up at her.
“Freya.” Josh smiled at her and she just frowned in return.
What was with Josh and his over friendly attitude?
“So you are waitress?” Hailey asked in an insulting tone.
I notice she was not affected by her words and I know this will anger Hailey. Freya had a talent in ignoring and making people agitated to the max. I was a first hand victim.
“You still look sexy in this uniform.” One of my teammates said and I turned to give him the ice glare.
But he was undressing her with his eyes.
“Are you dumb? Take orders and leave.” I snarled at her making her flinch a bit.
She made me angry. Can’t she see the boys eyeing her frame and girls giving her the poisonous look?
Others got the message and gave orders.
“And you?” She asked in soft tired voice.
Why the hell she was nice?
“Surprise me.” I look into her eyes , deep brown eyes.
I have seen these eyes, they were so familiar, so warm, so alluring.
She clicked the pen breaking the trance and I felt the hole in my heart gone. I sighed and looked at the girl but she was walking away now.
My friends were loud and maniacs but their talks did make me smile and kept my thoughts stress free. I might be popular, but I was a outcast in my thoughts. I didn’t fit in with my family, my real parents left me in foster care and I felt incomplete. But I guess that is how every teenager might feel.
I thought till I can actually breathe when I am around new girl.
“Lex, stop thinking and start doing.” Hailey’s hand rubbed over my thighs seductively.
Gosh she was really sexy with her blue green eyes and model perfect figure. She bent down and kissed me squarely on lips. I kissed her back. Whatever the matter, she was an excellent kisser. I avoided the whistles and laughs from my friends she practically worked to seduce me.
“Ahem, your orders.” The voice made me break away from Hailey who was frowning at Freya.
She was flushed and placed our orders in front of us.
“This one is for you.” She said placing a plate of pasta in front of me but didn’t meet my eye.
This annoyed me.
And was leaving just like that. Hailey closed in but this time I stopped her.
“New Girl.” I called her and she stiffened.
“Yes.” She asked curtly turning back.
I poured the drink on our table and little bit on the floor.
“Clean this. We can’t eat on a dirty table.” I said feeling a flood of emotions.
I was angry at Hailey for the pda and for Freya to walk in that moment. Why was she oblivious to my presence?
And yet she stays in my head annoying me to point of frustration.
She sighed and bend to clean the table , other snickering around us.
I always forget others around when she is in front of me.
Cleaning up she got up and without a word or yelling at me she walked away. It was damn frustrating when she did ignoring.
“Can I get a soda, Freya?” Josh asked with a kind smile in her direction.
She smiled back. What? Why?
“Sure.” She answered back and disappeared behind the counter.
“Lex, you are dragging this. Let it go.” Josh said.
“You are paying more attention to her than necessary.” Hailey said with a disapproving frown.
“Mind your own business.” I snarled at them without even intending to do so.
Josh looked like he was amused but Hailey was scared. My temper was a bit nasty.
After that no one bothered to mess with me and I just sat there looking at her. It was not something I was doing intentionally but my eyes founded back their way to her.
She was working and trying to complete her homework. And yet she smiled at her customer, at her boss. Her niceness annoyed me. Gradually people started leaving and so our group decided to go back home too.
“Drop me home.” Hailey purred the words to me.
“I am going somewhere else. Ask someone else Hailey.” I told her more harshly than intended.
She looked hurt but that didn’t stop her from kissing me lightly on lips.
“Good Night Lex. Just so you know I met your mom yesterday. She said I am the best girlfriend for you.” She said slyly.
She did not just played the rich family card.
“Night Hailey.” I said controlling my anger and sighed in relief as she left me.
I saw Freya standing near a car, probably hers which looked as if it can’t even move a feet.
I should have just walked to my car and drove away but did I? No.
“Leave your car, drive me home.” I said the stupid words that came to my mind.
“What? But it’s late I have to go back home.” She said in an annoyed voice.
So the good girl was getting annoyed.
“Slave, remember?” I asked her with a smirk.
It was kind of fun troubling her when no one else was around to worsen the situation.
She huffed and snatched the key from me.
“I am kind of drunk.” I don’t know why I gave her the explanation behind my asking her to drive.
Her lips formed a ‘o’ and she smiled slightly.
Was this all an act? All this niceness.
She drove silently after I told her my address and certain required directions. Again, she was ignoring me.
“What is with the front?” I asked her and she frowned but didn’t answer.
“Don’t ignore me fiore.” I said the name I heard my dad call my mom.
I always found it fascinating but I never called a girl before with this name which meant flower.
“Don’t call me nicknames.” She said dryly.
This got response out of her and I was pleased immensely.
“Then answer what I ask fiore.”
“What front?” She asked answering my previous question.
“Why do you pretend to be so nice?” I asked her.
Her expression was blank.
“What is with your front?” She asked quietly.
“Huh?” I was not sure where this was going.
“Why do you pretend to be a first class jerk?” She said with a saccharine smile.
Her question made me speechless and I just looked at her.
She was not only avoiding my question, she was trying to form dent in my exterior.
Alas, we reached my home too soon.
What? What was I thinking?
She stepped out of my car and our guard walked towards us with a worried look.
“Is master Comhan fine?” He asked with panic in her voice.
“Yes, I am fine.” I said to a man I didn’t even know the name of and he was worried for me.
I felt guilty, an emotion I learned since she got here.
“Why do you ask?” Freya asked the old man with a frown.
“Well, he never lets anyone drives his car and when you stepped out of driver’s seat I thought something happened.” The man said making me mentally face palm.
Hell, yes I never let anyone drive my car.
What is wrong with you Alexander?
