Chapter Fifty-Seven Putting my helmet on the back of my bike, I watched Killian pull the keys from his ignition. He took his helmet off, hooking it over the handlebars as he looked around. His body was tense and tight, like he was ready to spring into action if we were attacked. Soft footsteps hit my ears and my eyes darted to the treeline to the side of the house.
