Belong to me
Her paws thudded against the ground but not as fast as her heart pounded against the white fur on her chest. Behind her, she could hear the angry men yelling "kill the beast" she could smell their anger on the breeze. In the distance she could see safety rising into the sky like sun-bleached bones, if she could make it to the line of sycamore trees she would be safe once again. Once onto the safety of familial land, she slowed her pace and she shapeshifted back to her human form. Dark hair that lay in thick curls covered her round breasts, she collected her belongings from a well-hidden area just below an ash tree. She dressed quickly pulling on her jeans and buttoning them around her slim waist and pulling her top down over her head and onto her perfect hourglass frame. Her blue sky eyes darted towards a twig crack nearby. "Falcore, is that you?" A huge White dog although small compared to her in her wolf form, bounced from behind a big Oak tree and covered her face with kisses. "Good boy' she said, "let's go".
Together they walked through the forest towards home "Everly" a young man greeted her "where have you been?? Father was worried to death something happened to you." "I'm fine," she said cutting him off. "Why do you and father worry after me so little brother? I've got everything under control and I almost had it this time. Do you hear me Warren? I almost had it." Her little brother Warren was a few years younger than she at 14, he shared her same dark hair and blue-sky eyes, although his frame more masculine than hers he was already taller than his big sister. "what is your infatuation with that old lamp, Everly? Warren asked her quizzically.
"Do things mean so little to you brother? It was mothers and she left it to me and I want it back! Everly snapped back at him. "its all I have left of her." Everly's eyes fell to the ground and a tear started down her cheek. Warm memories of her mother danced in her head "I will get it back brother, even if it costs me my life."
