Chapter SevenThey sat in the sunshine. Talbot was kissing Tara until she could think of nothing but him. There were no difficulties or troubles in the world. At last he suggested, “I suppose, my darling, that we ought to go down and see what is happening.” “I want to stay here for ever and ever,” Tara replied, “just with you.” Talbot smiled. “It is what I would like too although in perhaps more comfortable surroundings.” “Anywhere would be – extra comfortable if – we were – together,” Tara sighed. “That is what we are going to be,” Talbot answered her, “and whatever anybody says, I intend to marry you as quickly as possible.
