Chapter 26: Till we meet again!

Richard and Jamie spent their last few hours together in their favourite spot in the wild flower medow. They spent the time enjoying each other’s bodies try to memories each inch. Jamie wanted to be fully mated, but Richard refused saying “when we mate, you are going to remember every second of it Princess”. That did not stop the hugs, tears and organisms. 

“I don’t want to go Richard, I want to stay here with you!“ Jamie finally said

Richard responded by Tilting her head up and stared deep into Her eyes “There is nothing that I want more Princess, but I have to stay and you have to go.  We both have jobs to do Princess, you got to stop chaos from taking power in the mortal world.  I have to close the remaining holes in the starlight barrier so it is stable. Once it is I will be by your side and not leave it” Richard said firmly 

“But I be able to remember you!” Jamie said softly

“But I will remember you. I know all your likes, dislikes and where you like to be touched.” He whispered in her ear. Jamie shaked in anticipation as he kissed along her jaw line. “I have something we want to give you, but it will hurt for a second. Do you trust us?” Richards's eye where dark . 

“I trust you and Amon with my life, you know that!” Jamie said.

Richard smiled and suddenly kissed Jamie just above the right breast. Jamie felt a sharp burning and she gasped. After a minute, Richard lifted his head and smiled. Jamie looked down and saw a black spiral where he had kissed her.  “ you gave me a tattoo” she said suprised 

Richard sighed “it is not a tattoo, it is the chaos eye rune. It means you can see people who are influenced by choas, even if they have cloaking spells on. It is my attempt at keeping you alive until i get there. It can only been given by descendents of high demons”

“Thank you so much”

“Don’t thank me Princess. You are what makes my life worth living. I would do anything, be anything to keep you safe. Everything I do is for you and you alone.” Richard said as he grabbed Jamie’s hands and tenderly kissed it.

 There was a suddenly a shimmer and Alizeh appeared. “I am sorry but it is time“ she said sadly. She shimmered away again. Jamie and Richard walked hand in hand to the cottage.

When they arrive she saw a group huddled together talking. She spotted someone the crowd, it was Hakan! Richard growled and Hakan put his hands up in a sign of surrender “ I just here to say good bye, not here to cause trouble.” 

Jamie went over and hugged Hakan “you silly fool”

Jamie nodded and went to Alizeh, Terran and Nerida “thank you so much for everything.” Jamie said 

“It was a pleasure, remember what we taught you“ said Nerida

“If you struggle calling us, remember to take your shoes off to get more connected” said Terran

“We left a few gifts in your room back at the palace.“ said Alizeh with tears in her eyes.

“Oi stop hogging the Good bye time.” Lux said as he hugged Jamie. “ we left gifts too, but you won’t know they are from us” She smiled and said “Thank you Lux”

Jamie moved on to Harper. He hugged her and said “ remember the light mind technique and keep your bow up”  Jamie smiled and nodded.

“Ahh Princess! I am sad to see you go! But pity us we have to put up with that Grump sod for a while” Edward said whilst giving her a large bear hug.

“Now who is hogging her now?” Richard grumbled 

Jamie smiled and moved to Richard. She had tears in her eyes as she kissed him passionately and said “I love you”

“I love you too“ Richard said.

They hugged each other until there was a silver shimmer.  The Crone Goddess appeared “ The time is upon us. The Vail  between the two realms is at its thinnest. “ she said “ come here child”

Jamie kissed Richard once more. “ I guess this is goodbye then”

“Till we meet again Princess” Richard said and kissed her on the forehead.

Jamie slowly walked in front of The Crone. “ Right listen up, your body will be different from when you left it. You won’t have all of your runes on show, they will draw too much unwanted attention - especially your face ones. The ones on your neck and below will remain.  As you know, your memories About the four handsome chaps will be removed, but what they taught you will remain. You will know Things, you just won’t Know how you know. Your guardians will be there waiting for you, apart from Fluff who will be at the back at the palace. You ready?“ the Crone said

Something suddenly occurred to her “Hang on you said You would Remove my memories, not destroy them. Where are you putting them?” Jamie asked urgently.

The crone smiled and winked and said  “ that’s my girl” before hitting Jamie on the head With her stick. Jamie fell back  And  felt she was falling for a long time in darkness. 

Suddenly she  felt a dog licking at her face. She opened her eyes and the black eyes of Amaethon

“Hello sweetheart, we have got to get moving. There is not much time”
