4; The Cathedral of Light

Cathedral of Light being one of the top 3 institutions in the Continent of Lush had a huge region all by itself. It was placed directly southwest of the Great Evergreen forest and to most people inside the region and the surrounding neighbors it is mostly regarded as the main entrance to the dangerous forests. Divided into 3 most known Sectors, being Outer, Inner and the Higher Sectors suffice to say these sectors covered a wide range of a thousand miles. Lukas the previous host was still an outer disciple so his living quarters were placed on the out most fringes of the Outer Sector with a few exquisite buildings adorning its subtle and holy atmosphere. Led by his muscle memory, Lukas found himself walking quite slowly, his environments seemingly familiar and foreign at the same time. Shaking his head he took to the path but it didn't take long for some whispers to start drifting to his ears as he passed a few placed cottages that were arranged in a very orderly manner. "Heee! Is he back?" one asked in surprise. "He is indeed. Wasn't he rumored dead though?" another spoke in a puzzled tone. "He was reported missing or dead by his teammates…" one said before a thought crossed his mind. "Don't tell me…" " Sshhh! Just live it for the higher ups to deal with." All of the outer disciples were adorned with pure white simple robes which contrasted sharply with his own destroyed robe. Taking some quick steps he went to his cottage and then quickly clasped the door behind him shutting off the stares he was getting. He sighed deeply. It seemed it was far worse than he ever expected. This was a more of a strength oriented world and the fact that the previous host was the silent enduring type in addition to his low talent. It made him a common gossip and a person silently mocked in the outer fringes. He looked around his cottage and was struck by how simple it looked. It had a bed, a chair, a walled in cupboard that housed all of the few belongings that the previous host possessed with one of the compartments having a few books as well. The lone table was a mess with ink, paper and some runic diagrams strewn about and then there was a small adjacent room with a cover that he made out to be a bathroom with a few containers of clear water arranged neatly inside. Looking round he was struck by a feeling of a very lone character. Being a powerful figure, The Cathedral treated even its outer disciples very well from how everything seemed simple and functional. Though it also helped with the fact that it prioritizes in amassing and training mages of the elemental light over the mages of other awakened elements unless they were very talented or they were lucky to obtain a recruitment post to enter the Cathedral. Taking a deep breath and taking his time to pass through everything, from the bed to the plain walls, from the clothes and the books to messy table Lukas sighed deeply before he snapped out of it. He was lucky enough to be placed in such a relatively healthy body and the rest will fall in place as soon as an opportunity arrives. For now he had to lay low and take on his new persona to a certain passable degree to avoid any complications and suspicions. He went to the bathroom and proceeded to wash himself of the grime and the blood stains that had caked him all the way here. After a through wash, he dried himself before getting a new robe and then set himself in front a clear mirror placed in the wall beside the table to finally look at his new self. He was surprising tall, lean and his body looked fairly weak for his age. But his face would have definitely looked a lot better with a pair of pale eyes and wet darker hair that slopped down hiding his tired face and making him appear all the more threatening and bedraggled. This was a New Magical World, quite opposite from his old world. Here existence of the elements was the norm and it had resulted to the rise of some of the most powerful mighty figures that decorated the history of the continent since times past. Lukas, the previous host being a fallen noble from a weak family got lucky with his awakening, and coupled with his sister they were given a chance to take a journey into a more powerful world than they could ever imagine. But it was also quite dangerous which Lukas could tell from his inherited memories all to the moment of his death. And then the rest was huge white blank something that didn't disappoint him that much though he had hoped to witness how his soul had transverse the cosmos or just a clue on how he came to be here on the first place. Shaking his head, he looked at his hand and with a focused mind his hand started shining forming a small brilliant ball of light that slowly floated on top of his palm. The previous host awakening with the light effectively made him a priest and so by default it made him one and he couldn't help but be amazed. The ball of light felt surreal, almost like an instinctive memory, something which he had seemingly done for hours. A few more minutes passed in a daze as he made the ball larger and smaller, twirled in his finger and swished it around. His mind was so distracted that he had even forgotten about everything for a moment. But it was just for a moment. Collecting himself he thought for a second and before flicking the ball of light off to meditate just so he could summon even more important memories. He intended to familiarize them carefully and meticulously so he can learn how to use his new found power effectively. And in his memories he discovered a boatload of so much information that he had to slow down for a moment. Tracing the memories back he basically found that in order to really learn how to control his power effectively, he had to relearn everything the previous host learned. And it all began with The Meditation Art all the recruited disciples are given the moment they walk through the Cathedral.
