14 I was dreaming again. It was that same strange dream from before. The darkness, and then the light. I walked up to the window like an old tenant and peeked through the opening. The young man was still huddled in the corner. All was tense and quiet, and oppressive. A feeling of being watched forced me to look over my shoulder. There was only the complete darkness, but the feeling wouldn’t go away. “Where are they?” The soft words came from the bent figure, and I looked back to him. The young man climbed to his feet and gripped the wall with his right hand. He stumbled forward through the thick darkness that shrouded the room.
