I was made to sit in the tub and not Mo e an inch while the Jess and Mia scrubbed my body. Marcus had warned them to make sure that I didn’t do anything myself or anywhere alone till he was sure that I was fully recovered. Jess and Mia were both very happy to oblige, they both filled the tub with hot water and then made me sit in it.
Marcus was no where to be seen after that, for the first time since I came to this palace as the crown princess if the celestials, this was the first time that the maids assigned to me helped me to this extent.
Jess dried my body with the towel despite my protests, her mask seemed to be cracking slowly, she looked worried. She would look at me for a while and then when she noticed I caught her staring she looked away and continued what she was doing.
