AMERY . "Amery?" He called out to me for the second time when I didn't respond. His voice had gone from thready to hoarse in a matter of seconds. His eyes were fixated on mine as though they were compelling me to answer to him but I wouldn't. I couldn't. He had hurt me so badly that I couldn't take the scene of what I had witnessed the day before away from my head. I felt angry, betrayed and somewhat jealous. I didn't know why I was suddenly overwhelmed by all these emotions but I couldn't help it. The more I tried to figure out why, the more confusing it gets.
