CHAPTER 22: Burn
It took Esme some seconds to realize that she was being attacked by the same person. She felt sorry for a couple of minutes. Afraid and confused, she staggered backwards into the chair to keep her distance.
“What are you doing?” She asked when the woman bumped into the stool instead. “What is she doing?” Esme asked Lucia, who only smiled, watching in glee.
“You see hybrids, the first thing you should note is not to take anybody’s side, be it human or supernatural alike. You never know their true nature until they’re tested.” Lucia stated. Esme managed to put up some distance between her and the other woman.
“When their existence is threatened, at that point, parts of them that were buried spring forth, showing the entirety of their being,” Lucia added.
