“And you can't stop me.” she fired back, folding her hands across her chest.
Jasper watched their heated exchange from where he was, an amused smirk on his face.
“You don’t even know who she is. Are you just going to swallow a stranger’s word because you’re desperate?!” he marched closer to her.
“I don’t know you either! Yet I’m sleeping in your frigging house.” She retorted. “I’ve got nothing to lose.”
“You don’t get it, do you? Things are never going to be the same again. You’re not human.”
“So, I am a vampire?” she raised her left brow at him.
