I had not prepared myself to see Nuru after we had been separated, or even in the state she was in.
Her scent hit me like a truck the minute she opened the door.
Arcanis, my wolf, was on it immediately, salivating like the starved hound he was. I had barely said my greeting when Nuru attacked my lips, and I responded immediately.
As we kissed, I could feel my body responding to her touch. My hands instinctively went to her hips, pulling her closer to me. I could feel her fingers running through my hair, pulling me closer to her.
The closeness was not enough. Even without the heat hormones, she had missed me.
