Pushing someone I cared about into the arms of someone else was the most difficult thing I had ever done in my life.
I knew I had to distance myself from what was happening, to find my center once more. So, as I walked out of the palace doors that day, I had one thing in mind. To remind myself who I was before I started entertaining the thought I could somehow be Nuru's mate.
I had been thinking of the best way to do so when an idea struck me. Perhaps finally introducing Victor and Amira to each other could provide a distraction.
