Chris called me in his office for an unknown reason.
"What is it now?" I asked.
"Percy told me that alpha Keegan gave us permission for you to train on their territory. " he told me.
I was taken back. Honestly, I was nervous upon meeting a real werewolf, let alone an alpha.
"Ah, okay."
He eyed me for a minute.
"For additional information, alpha Keegan like his great great great uncle Percy, is in love with my sister since he first saw her. He believed that she is his mate. " he told me.
I growled at him, but he just chuckled.
"Wolves could find their mates when they turned 18, by their scent. But when Keegan turned 18, it turned out that she is not his mate. " he explained.
"Good. "
Chris chuckle and I looked at him.
"Better stake your claim Arion Knight. You only find your soul mate once." He said and walked out of his office, leaving me confused.
When I noticed that I'm alone, I walked out of the office and went to my room to pack my things.
Charlie
I finished typing the last document that Arion needed for his next investment. I saved the file and leaned back and sighed.
Dee came to me and seated on the corner of my desk.
"I didn't get to ask you how your night went." She asked.
I chuckled and looked at her.
"The question is how your night was?" I asked her back.
A small smile drew on her face.
"Well, I met a guy that night. He asked me to dance, bought me a drink and we spent a night at his place. " she told me playing with the hem of her skirt.
I faked gasp and said.
"You b***h. You did get yourself a man. How was it? What does he looked like ?"
She grinned and tucked a piece of her hair behind her ear.
"Well he's cute. Taller than me. He seems foreign. Like an Arab or something. " she said.
I snorted.
"Oh god. You have that googly eyes. You like him." I said.
She looked everywhere but me.
"Yeah. When I looked at him for the first time, I felt an instant connection. And when we danced I felt like everything vanished that we are the only ones that existed that time." She told me like retelling a fairy tale.
Seems like my friend had found herself a mate. Whatever kind of supernatural he may be, I just hope he treat Dee the way she should be treated. For some reason, it made me feel envious of her. My own beloved doesn't even recognize me as his. He's probably screwing whoever spread her legs for him.
"He's actually taking me to lunch." Dee said and it pulled me out if my thoughts.
"What?"
She rolled her eyes and stood up with her hand on her waist.
"I said Ali, the guy I met that night, is going to take me out to lunch today."
"Oh. Enjoy yourselves then. " I said.
"Oh no Missy. You're coming with me to lunch. I told him I'd bring you and Marc along. I want you guys to meet him. So let's go." She said.
"But I don't want to intrude. "
"Shut up. He's okay with it. Unfortunately Marc couldn't join us because he has a meeting. So you have to come, pretty please with a cherry on top. " she said.
I sighed and picked up my bag. I stood up and straightened my skirt.
"Fine. I'll go with you. "
Her eyes twinkled like Christmas lights, and then she smiled.
"Okay. Let's go! He already texted me. He's on his way to the restaurant." She said and linked her arms with mine.
We left the building and went to an Asian Restaurant not too far from it. The restaurant is called Asian Deli. It looked cozy from the inside. Far from the busy streets of New York.
A waiter approached with a warm smile.
"Welcome. Do you have a reservation?" He asked.
"Yes. Under Ali Javadd." Dee too the waiter.
"Right this way ma'am." He said and then he lead us to a table a bit far from most of the occupied ones.
The table was occupied by a man. The man stood up as soon as he saw Dee walking towards him. He meets Dee halfway and kissed her cheek.
"I missed you." I heard him say it to Dee, whim blushed and giggled like a High school girl.
Then she turned to me.
"I have a friend with me. The one that I'd like you to meet." She said.
The man looked my way. I froze in the spot when I came to recognized him. He as well froze as he recognized me. His master.
"Charlie, this is Ali Javadd. Ali, this is Charlie." Dee introduced us.
I gave them a tight smile.
"Uh...P-Please take a seat. He said and then he assists Dee to her seat. I took a seat across him.
I noticed his Adam's apple bobbed up and down and sweat glistened his forehead. I narrowed my eyes on him and then I turned to Dee.
"Dee." I called and then she looked at me.
Once our eyes connected I said.
"Why don't you take your time in the ladies' room? Freshen up for your date. And when you come back, you won't remember any of this."
She repeated everything I said and then she stood up. She sent to the ladies' room as I compelled her to.
Once she's out of sight, I used my gift to stop time. I turned to the man seated in front of me, and I crossed my arms over my chest.
"How are you Ali? Or should I say Aladdin." I said in flat tone.
He gulped and looked like he's about to cry. Then he bowed his head.
"I'm so sorry my mistress. Please forgive me. I got so used to this short freedom you gave me that I totally ignored your calls. Please forgive me. " he pleaded.
I sighed. This guy is really a nuisance. You see this guy s Aladdin. That's his real name. He is a two thousand year old djinni or genie. Yes, genie. Not by the lamp, but buy the ring. I acquired him a thousand years ago. I became his master whom he served. A century ago I gave him permission to be free for some time. In condition that he'll be present whenever I call for him. But it didn't happen. This little fucker ignored my calls and he hid himself from me for a very long time.
And now he turned up to be my friend's match.
"I could have punished you, you know." I sad and he visibly stiffened.
"But I won't do that. You are Dee's match after all." I said and he craned his neck to look at me.
"Yes I knew from the moment she told me how the two of you met in the club. Which where I am as well."
"I'm so sorry my mistress." He muttered.
"I am still your master and I expect you to obey my commands. And one of that-" I paused.
"Is you to treat Dee well. Love her like a match should do. " I said.
He stared at me like I grew another head.
"I am not heartless, you know that. You are more of a family not a slave. That's why I was upset when you ignored me for decades. But I forgive you. I understand that you wanted a break from everything. Heck, I even want break from all of this. I'm not getting any younger." I ranted.
I sighed. Then I smiled at him and he did too.
"I found my beloved as well. But he doesn't know it yet."
"Why? Is he human?" He asked.
"He used to be. Until he got himself in a tight rivalry with my father in business, that he ended up shot in an alley. I had no choice but to save him. The only way I could. "
"You turned him." He said, more in a statement.
I nodded.
"He's a brimstone descendant. Actually, Dee and I worked for him." I told him.
His eyes widened and he almost chocked in his saliva.
"Arion Knight is your fledgling and beloved?!" He exclaimed.
I rolled my eyes at him.
"He's also joining our mission. He's with Chris and Percy in Scotland. But they'll be in Australia in a few hours or a day top." I told him.
"I need you to help him train. I'm not sure if he had developed his gift yet. But still I need you to help him train" I told him with a smirk.
He smiled and bowed his head.
"Yes my mistress." He said.
I sighed and grabbed my bag. I stood up and looked at him.
"I need to go somewhere. Take care of your match. You only have one." I said and walked away.
I clicked my fingers and everyone moves again.
Ali
I watched as my mistress left the restaurant and everything resumed to normal.
I smiled and thanked the stars in heaven that my owner is not like the ones that I had before. They treated me like a slave, like dirt, unlike my mistress. I did regret that I ignored her for such a long time. She didn't even punish me. She is simply the best master I could have.
Then my beautiful match came walking back from the ladies' room. She took a seat and frowned on an empty seat in front of me.
"Where is Charlie?" She asked.
"She left. She got an urgent call. Said that she'll mostly be seeing you tomorrow." I lied.
"Oh. She's hardworking. " she said.
"I agree. And she's a nice person in general. I'm glad you are friends with her." I told her.
She looked at me and smiled.
"What did you guys talked about?" She asked.
I smiled and took her hand in mine.
"Do not worry my love. We got along just fine. She just told me to take care of you, because you're like a sister to her." I told her.
I noticed her eyes turned glassy.
"Let's order and enjoy our lunch." I said and he nodded.
I called the waiter and ordered as it came to us.
