"What's up gurl.. aren't you prepared for this? Ashley asked her, feeling so concerned, but she got no response. Instead tears gradually began to fall down her eyes. When Ashley noticed this, she grabbed her by the wrist and pulled her out of the auditorium, while Sterling and Esty followed behind. She pulled her down to the school garden. You know you can talk to me about anything. What happened? weren't you prepared for the presentation, what happened? what's going on? Ashley asked, placing her hand on her shoulder. "I... I... " She tried to talk, but was interrupted by Ashley. "Take a deep breath girl" she said. "I need to be left alone" She managed to say. " talk to me girl... This is not you" Ashley insisted. "Please leave" Theodora repeated and walked away. "What's up with her... Where's she headed" Esty who had just arrived the scene with Sterling asked. "She needs some space" Ashley replied and walked away. Theodora wandered deep into the school garden, until she was sure that she was far enough where no one could see or hear her. She wanted to be sure that she was free to cry as loud as she feels, for as long as she wants. That was when she checked her phone to see the email that everyone was talking about, and it read; "Theodora Smith, you have been selected among the students that will be representing Bridges High school in the forth coming inter-state debate competition. To test your eligibility, you are to give a presentation on 'Horoscope' make your research and share your findings among your classmates and the school authority tomorrow morning, 10:00 am prompt". "It's true... why?? why?? How did I forget to check my inbox last night" She thought. She couldn't even speak, tears just kept flowing down her eyes. Just then, her phone beeped and when she checked it, it was a message from her mom, which read, 'where did you run off to this early? I need you back home now'. This got her so mad, that she tossed her phone far away, it hit a rock in the garden and broke into numerous parts. "What is wrong with me?.......Ahhhhhhh!!! she screamed on the top of her voice. °By now you must have noticed that Theodora is a kind of person that hates failing, whenever things occur wrongly, she feels like she's already a failure, and it takes a lot of time for her to get back on her feet.° This inter-school competition was meant to be for the 12th graders, but since they were busy preparing for their final exams, it was shifted to the 11th graders, of which Theodora was inclusive. "How and why is everything happening at once. First the nightmare and now this embarrassment.?? she spoke to herself, amidst sobs. "Why??!!! She screamed at the top of her voice. Then she resorted to soft sobs. A whole lot was going on in her mind, as streams of tears kept flowing down her cheeks. "How do I deal with this now" she kept sobbing. "Hey keep it down there... I'm trying to study." She heard someone speak behind her. The voice sounded really familiar. "Who's there" she asked with a shaky voice. "None of your business.. Keep it down okay" This tone of voice and rude manner of speaking could only come from one of those rascals in grade 12. She turned around, but couldn't see anyone. She took few steps backward , in a bid to see who was speaking. "Aargh... Could you sit or stand at a spot? Your footsteps are too loud." he groaned. His final speech got her really mad. She has been searching for someone or something to pour her frustration on, but thankfully, the universe just provided someone. She took a deeper look into the bush and saw something like a blue shirt, she was glad that she finally caught the culprit. With the speed on light, she jumped on him and before he could break free from her grip, she had already inscribed some injuries on his face. She didn't even get to see the face of the person she was up against. After his face, her second aim was to bite his ear but she didn't get to do that because he managed to fling her off his shoulder and compensated her with ome punch and two slaps, which immediately made her unconscious. When he saw that she had stopped moving her body, he ran away from the scene. * * * * Dora!..... Dora!!...... Dora!!! Her friends echoed, searching for her in the garden. "Are you sure this was where she left you" Sterling asked. "Yeah" Ashley replied. "She said she needed to be left alone and she left in that direction" She added pointing towards the left direction. "At this point, I think it'll be best if we split up. Keep your phones on, so that we can keep in touch" Esty said. "Where the heck is she?? Her excesses are becoming unbearable, and it's even more annoying that there's nothing we can do about it" Sterling said.. "Before we split up, I just wanted to let y'all know that I'll search for nothing more than 15 minutes, and if I find no clues, I'm out. For Christ's sake, we've been searching for an hour and some minutes.. I'm famished" Sterling said and walked towards the east. "Ok... I'll go west while you go south" Esty said and they went their various directions. They searched for some minutes and when they didn't find her, they assumed that she had already gone home. "Then why has her line been unreachable all day" Ashley asked, concerned. "Let's just say she set her phone to DND" Esty said. "Bye girls.. I gotta go. I could eat a whole human now... I'm so famished." Sterling said, and staggered out of the scene. "Aargh... My feet hurt" She added, while the other girls chuckled and left.
