CHAPTER 2: THE QUAD💅🌹

"She said we should be here during lunch break... This is 20 minutes into the time, ans she's yet to arrive" Esty said, obviously getting impatient. "She's beginning to get on my nerves, and it hurts that I can't even do anything about it. I feel so weak and that makes me mad at my self" She added clenching her fist on the pencil she had been holding. "Hey ladies... May I sit here with you girls? Kamara, their classmate asked, all smily. "I wish I could say yes, but...." "The sit is already taken" Theodora said interrupting Esty's speech. "Okay ladies see ya" Kamara said with a wink and went off to find a seat somewhere else. "What was that black monkey doing here" Theodora asked. "is she black?? yes... Is she a monkey?? No... Pls don't call her that in my presence." Sterling said. "Besides, is that the apology we get for keeping us waiting for over 20 minutes? we could have been done with lunch by now... I'm sure you know that" She added. "Well I had more pressing and important issues to attend to" "gosh this imp gets worse by the second" Esty thought. "Now, let's eat" Sterling said smiling. "go ahead ladies... I'm not interested" Theodora said. "I'll be in the swing... I really need some fresh air" she added and left. "She's definitely getting a piece of my mind... She has bitten more than she can chew. Esty said "What are you going to say to her" Sterling said mockingly. "I'll think about that later, but for now, my gut needs to be filled to the brim... Statistics class is next after this break" Esty said and they both laughed.

"Hurry up lady, I've got an appointment in less than thirty minutes" Mrs Smith, Theodora's mom spoke on the top of her voice. "Seriously mom, you came 25 minutes late, and all you can do is to scream all over the place?? Theodora Said with a hint of disappointment in her voice. "Good day Theodora" Mrs. Smith said and sped off... "Mom... I need to get a slice of pizza... Could you stop by at the next eatery?? She said with a pout. "I have more important things to do... You could have gotten that at the cafeteria in school" Mrs Smith said "But I didn't, and I need to get it now" Theodora insisted. "shhh... I'm trying to focus." Mrs Smith said and increased the speed of the vehicle, while Theodora just stumped her feet hard and sat quietly on the passenger's seat, beside her mom. "Don't be such a big baby, Miss Sonia has made variety of dishes for you to choose from... You just have to get home real quick" Mrs. Smith said with a wink. "for the umpteenth time mom, I do not like home made dishes... They disrupt my taste buds and it's not healthy" She said looking out the window. "But your nanny is one of the best cooks in the country... I personally contracted her" Mrs. Smith said. "I do not want to have this conversation, take me home and get to your office. You personally said you have an appointment to catch, so step on it" Theodora said and put on her ear piece to prevent her from hearing whatever her mom has to say to her.

J & B Enterprises was one of the most successful and most respected companies in the whole of Colorado... Everyone knows about, and every citizen wants to identify with it, because the founder, Mr. John Smith who happens to be Theodora's dad, was the right hand man and special adviser to the Mayor. The Mayor, although wealthy and all that, had no child. Owing to this fact, Theodora, who happens to be the only heiress to her dad's empire, and the only god- daughter to the mayor, is accorded the respect that befits a goddess and this seems to have a lot of effect on her coz she feels that everything in colorado, should be about her.

"Miss Sonia this food is too spicy. Besides, I crave pizza not this trash" Theodora said looking irritated. "Clear this up, I'm done here" she added and made to leave the dining area. "Dora, I made this meal specially for you" Miss Sonia said, her countenance displayed a mixture of confusion and disappointment, confused because the food was not anything close to spicy and disappointed because she wasted her precious and limited time, trying to please this brat. "Theodora... It's theodora to you. Only friends and family are permitted to call me Dora, and you, you fall into neither of those categories... Lest I forget, your apron is messy take it off and fix me a bath.. I need to be in bed in time today" She said and walked up the stairs. "Gosh this is the most annoying creature I've ever come across in my entire life" Miss Sonia said as she cleared the dishes. "Sonia!!! do not keep me waiting!!!" she screamed from her room. "I'm on my way" she replied and hastened up her chores.

"It's ready Theodora, you can go have your bath now" Sonia said. "Get my pj's ready, then take my school bag to the study" Theodora ordered before she stepped into the bathroom. She was still under in the bathtub when she heard the notification bell on her phone ring five consecutive times. This only happens when she receives her monthly allowance or when she receives an important email form her school. "Lord this better be for a good cause" she said and in less than five minutes, her phone began to ring. She had to round up her bathing and hurry into the room to take the call. "I can't believe I cut my bathing short just to take a call from Ashley" She lamented, before she took the call. "Hey what's up" She managed to say. "WHAT THE HECK!!!
