Roberta still had not answered my question, somehow we had moved on to Bobby and his father out there, and though I had a feeling we had not heard the end of that vermin, I had no intention of letting that man take the boy. I consider him as having been abandoned by his dad, and that is enough for me, by law, to claim him as that. Call it alpha rights, and Bobby is growing attached to Roberta. That is enough for me to take him under my wing and treat him like my son. He will always know that he is not my heir, but if he is as good as I think he will be, maybe he can be someone of high status. He has a kind gentle soul, and that needs to be nurtured.
