We left my office and I immediately saw Roberta in the arms of her brother. He looked up at me and his look was one of shock. What had Roberta said to make him look at me like that? Did she say I was her mate? Had she accepted it? I was hopeful for a few moments until Jamie spoke and spoilt it all.
Jamie chatted about Roberta and that she would come around. I hoped so. I didn’t want to wait too long. Not now I had found her, she was perfect. I loved her laughter even if it was not me causing it. My wolf was excited to be with her and see what her wolf looked like. We needed to get closer to her and ask questions.
