After the patrol run, I hugged Ashley and kissed him on the cheek. Happy this patrol was over. It was longer than I had expected, but I felt we had a good result.
‘Goodnight, Ash.’ I was going to have a shower and something to eat. I was hungry, it had been a long time using energy and not replenishing it.
‘Where are you going?’ I forgot that Ash did not know I had moved out yet. I guess everyone is in for a surprise, and I was not in the mood to argue about where I am living right now.
‘My home. I have an apartment that is part of the hospital. Wilson offered it to me and I took it.’ I liked the little apartment, it would not take long for it to be my home, I liked being so close to the hospital in case I was needed in an emergency.
