THE NEXT MORNING WAS just as cold as the day before had been. But Morgan didn"t care. She opened the windows to the library, letting in the fresh breeze. Misty was curled up in the window seat, stealing the sunny spot for herself. Morgan and Gabe had come back to the house the night before and began searching through the journals kept by all generations of the Seaver family. Morgan had no idea what she was looking for but had found answers about life on Pearl Island in the journals before, and she was hoping she would again. She had to at least try to find some hints on how to deal with pirates in the pages her ancestors had written.
