Pipers Point of View
Kal spent most of the journey back to the pack house snoozing. That was a bit of a bonus because it meant he didn't question the private road though some of the forest leading to a set of enormous security Gates. I didn't think he'd ever get close enough to the perimetre to cross any borders, the land was way too big for a human to go walking around.
He did, however, wake when we pulled up outside of the pack house. He looked out of the window and then did a double take.
"Holy s**t! Do you actually live here."
"Yes. Now can you understand why I'm able to live in the same place as Ben?"
