I stood up from my plastic chair for about the hundredth time. It didn't seem to matter how much we invested in this hospital the chairs were always s**t. I kicked the damn thing into the wall opposite. Nothing happened and I started growling in frustration.
"What the f**k is taking so long?" I asked out into the universe. Unsurprisingly I didn't get a response. I started to pace up and down. Kal, who was the only one with me, watched me as I went back and forth in the hallway.
Jessica had been ill for several hours. It didn't matter what Leo did, he just couldn't get her to heal herself. He'd stripped her and looked at every inch of her body for an incision which would explain what was happening, Until finally, he had a Eureka moment.
