Pipers Point of View I already knew, of course, how the conversation between Blake and Kal had gone. Wolf hearing was a fantastic thing when you needed it. I ducked my head around Blake and looked into the front room. Kal was staring sullenly at something he was watching on the TV. Teenagers were notoriously hard to read. I hadn't been one for 12 years so I was struggling to know how to connect with this 15 year old. As my mate, Blake would be feeling a pull towards me, as for his surely little brother. Well, that was anyone's guess. Even if he did think I was alright, he probably wouldn't want to let me know. I sighed deeply. I wondered if showing him a picture of Jessica might help my cause. It was slightly underhand touting my God daughter out to convince Kal to stay with me.
