Myra's POV Hours later I looked in the mirror fixing my makeup and lipstick, I decided to go for light makeup, I looked at myself in the mirror for the last time before leaving the bedroom. I wore a pair of black jeggings, and a loose olive-green clean top with the jewelry set from earlier with a bracelet Tasha got for me. I didn’t want to complicate my look so I only carried a clutch with black blocked heels. Calvin texted me and said he was outside waiting for me; I had sent him the location earlier so that he could pick me up.  I quickly rushed downstairs going to meet with him, I saw the way my mother looked at me and she was surprised, in the last two years she had never see me got out in a decent outfit. I walked out of our house and saw Calvin standing at a distance opposite our house, he was in jeans, a t-shirt with a casual jacket and casual boots. I swallowed hard as I walked over to the car, I didn’t know much about Cars but looking at the Mercedes Benz I could tell it was expensive “Hey” His face brightened up as soon as he saw me approaching him, “Hi, I thought you said 9 pm,” I said to him as I went in for a hug. He put his hand around my waist and kissed my cheek, it sent down shivers down my spine, my heart was beating fast as I pulled away from him, “Well, I finished early so thought I could just come and pick up,” He said to me wearing that smile on his face “Really?  Then it’s good I finished on time” I said to him as getting in the car, he was a gentleman opening the door and closing it for me, I looked up the window and my mother was watching us.  He came around to his seat getting in and buckling up. “I didn’t know you lived around here,” He said to me as he started the car “Well, I wouldn’t say live…. More like visiting” I said to him and he raised his eyebrows “Really?  How come?” He asked as he drove, “Because originally I live in Manhattan but had to move here” I said to him, I just didn’t mention to him that my father took away my apartment that’s why I am here. “I see….” He said focusing on the road, I must say he sounded different from the man I have been talking to all these weeks. “So where are we going?” I asked him turning around to look at him as he drove, “The Saddle” He responded with saying anymore “Oh okay” I replied looking away, I could get a cold distant from him as he spoke “Have you been?’ He asked me as he turned to the road “Just once, just the queue puts me off,” I said to him holding on to my purse, “I see” He replied as she stepped on it, I didn’t understand if he was going to be so distant then it would have been better if he didn’t show up at all. I thought to myself, maybe he was upset and afraid to date someone unemployed >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>  We arrived at the club and got out of the car, he came to where I was standing after he locked the car, “We can go in,” he said leading the way inside as I walked next to him, he presented a card from his wallet and they quickly let us in “What’s that?” I asked him as we got inside “Well it’s a friends club, so that is something he gave me” He said to me and I raised my eyebrows, he was friends with Trevor O’Brian? I asked myself wondering what kind of man he was. He walked up the stairs then it seemed he remembered that I wore heels when he stopped giving me his hand “Forgive me, I completely forgot,” He said to me as we walked up the stairs, we got to the top place and they were six tables which were empty but it was full of people downstairs We walked to the table and I told him we can sit by the ones with the bar stools as I sat down a waitress walked up to us smiling at him. “It’s been long!” She greeted Calvin acting like she didn’t see me, “Yes it has been> Have you been okay?” He greeted her as she nodded her head “So who is the lady?” She said turning to me, ‘The lady?’  I thought to myself scoffing inwardly as Calvin smiled looking at me “She’s someone special, Myra please meet Sammy she’s a friend of me” He introduced her and I wondered what kind of person he was having such a friend “Nice to meet you, Sammy,” I said to her as she smiled at Calvin instead of looking at me “So, what are you guys having?” She asked him writing something on the notepad “I will have my usual, what are you having?” Calvin asked me as I looked at him trying to decide “I will have the same,” I said to her and she smiled “How can you say you will have the same as him when you don’t know what he’s having?” she asked me “Well, just because…” I responded making Calvin chuckle looking down as that woman looked at me “I like her” She said to Calvin “Your drinks are coming” She said walking away as I looked at Calvin “Sorry about Sammy she’s a little…” He wanted to say but I cut him short “Don’t worry she’s cool?” I said to him as he scoffed looking at her pouring our drinks, and serving us our food. ‘Yeah right!” He said to me shaking his head, “Wait till she’s upset” He said to me but quickly kept quiet as she brought a bottle of whiskey. “Enjoy!” She said whispering to Calvin as she walked away, “So who do you stay with?” he asked me and I dropped my head looking at him ‘Well, I live with my parents… It’s a long story” I said to him as I gulped down the whiskey, he just nodded his head. “By the way, I forgot to say you look beautiful,” He said to me, I could feel my cheeks turning red as I sipped from my glass ‘Thank you so much!” I said to him, shaking my shoulders. We went on chatting about different things as we continued with our drinks, I could feel I was getting tipsy but continued drinking as Calvin watched me, it seemed he could hold down his alcohol but I couldn’t  “Do you want to dance?” I offered him seeing that he was quiet, they had just started playing Dance Monkey by Tones & I “Uh…. Not really my thing, I will watch you” He said to me as I stood up dancing to it as he watched me, after a long time I felt free and forget about some things. Usually, when I came to drink, it was because I was sorrowful but tonight it felt so different, I couldn’t feel like that. When I finished, I walked back to the table sitting down as I got my glass of whiskey “That was a bit off the beat” He said laughing as I looked at me shaking my head drinking my whiskey “Says someone who can’t dance,” I said after I put down my glass, he had his hands folded on the table “Are you waiting for a call?”  I asked him seeing how he kept checking his phone “What? Oh, you mean this? It’s nothing” He said taking the phone and putting It in his pocket “I see….”  I responded pursing my lips together, “You know if someone asked me three years ago to go on for a drink definitely I couldn’t even imagine being in such a place”  I said swallowing hard as I thought about how my life was f****d up, tears filled up my eyes as I tried to fight them looking away, I could feel his eyes on me. What was I doing I asked myself? “Please excuse me, I need to use the bathroom,” I said standing up leaving him alone as I walked to the bathroom. When I came back, I found he was not by the table I looked around as I started panicking, I usually had panic attacks and not finding him I was worried he could have left me alone because of my alcoholic habits.
