Georgia was the life of the party. Actually, she was the utter and total party downer. She was the geek in the corner sipping water out of a red cup so she didn't look like a total moron, and trying to keep an eye on the blonde body full of energy across the Kaideen's living room. Savannah knew how to dance to keep every pair of eyes in the room peeled on her, and when she looked over at Georgia and signaled her over, Georgia just curled up her lips and shook her head 'no.'
It didn't go any further than that. Savannah went back to her boys and Georgia went back to her water.
"Want to dance?"
She turned her head at some random junior who smelled of ass and liquor and shook her head.
"Ah, no thanks."
He moved on. The next one might say yes. If she didn't he would keep circling the room until someone did. Georgia rolled her eyes and stuck them back onto the blonde headed girl moving through the room. She was electric, amazing, and fantastic. Georgia only wished she could carry herself like that.
"You look bored, Peach."
Georgia turned her eyes to Kaleb and smiled a true smile for the first time that night. He looked sufficiently buzzed and also held a red cup in his hands; Georgia suspected it was not full of water.
"This is one hell of a party you threw, Kaleb." She perked a brow, "Too bad you guys got beat tonight."
"Any cause for a party, I'm okay with it. Hey! Foxx, come here." Kaleb reached out and grabbed Randy by the arm as he passed through the crowd, "Georgia here doesn't think you played to the best of your abilities."
Georgia gasped, "That's not what I said, Kaleb!"
Randy chuckled as he threw his arm over Georgia's shoulders and looked up at Kaleb. "Yeah, just because you're jealous that I was the MVP of the game, doesn't mean you should throw poor Georgia under the bus."
Poor Georgia? That was pretty much how she felt.
"MVP of a game we lost." Kaleb pointed out, giving Randy a playful shove, knocking him back just a little. Georgia ducked away from it but couldn't stop the smile on her face. She enjoyed the guys and even though they were in different classes when it came to school, they were still good to her.
It was like a tractor beam drew Savannah out of the crowd and over to the Georgia, Kaleb, and Randy. Georgia instantly grew quiet and stepped back so her back was leaning against the wall. It was instinct and habit when it came to Savannah.
"Hey Randy." Her eyes were all for Randy. She knew just how to move her body, how to subtly and gently bite down on her bottom lip. Her stomach was a flurry of butterflies though. She was nervous. People may talk about her, call her easy, but she had never slept with anyone before. She'd been saving herself for this man. He was the only one she wanted to lose her virginity too. She'd already lost her heart.
Randy and Kaleb shared a glance. Randy had talked to his buddy about how Savannah was pretty much throwing herself at him and more importantly how he wasn't really sure he would be able to keep turning her down. She might be Annie's little sister, but she was smoking hot and Randy was still, at the end of everything, a guy.
"Hey Savannah." He replied, raising the glass to his lips and taking a long sip of the keg beer.
Savannah looked over at Georgia with a smirk on her lips. This was fate and Savannah knew it. She and Randy were meant to be together. Savannah knew it, Georgia knew it, even if she didn't believe in things like love and fate, and in about twenty minutes, Randy would know it too.
"I hate to interrupt you but," Savannah turned up the charm, pumping it up and stepping in so she could lean forward, completely aware of the view he'd have at the front of her dress, and curl her fingers around Randy's wrists. "The MVP owes me a dance." She looked at Georgia, gave her a wink and then pulled Randy off towards the dance floor.
Georgia watched as Randy followed. He put the cup of beer in someone's hand as they disappeared into the crowd. All she could do was stare. "How does she do that?" she asked curiously. It always kind of boggled her mind that her cousin was able to put this kind of spell over boys. She turned her head to look at Kaleb who was watching the two walk away as well. His head tipped to the side just a little. Oh who could blame him? That dress was tight.
"Hmm?" He finished off his beer and crumpled the red cup. He realized what was said and then turned back to Georgia. Typical, Georgia thought. Even Kaleb wasn't paying attention to her. "Come on Peach. You know how Sav is. She's got big boobs, blonde hair and killer legs. And
despite it all, guys are full of testosterone that makes them want..." He nodded towards were Savannah was swaying her hips, hands practically all over Randy. "..that."
There was the sound of something breaking and it tore both of their attention to the side. Across the room, they saw Sara with both hands over her mouth, laughing as she stumbled drunkenly away from the broken lamp that was on the ground. Kaleb chuckled, "I should go deal with that." He said with a grin, and then he gave Georgia a quick hug. Then he pointed into her cup of water, "And have some fun. I doubt that's tequila in there." He kissed her temple and then slipped away into the crowd.
Alone again. She thought. But big deal. She wasn't a fan of being at the party in the first place. Part of her wanted to be able to let go like Savannah and Sara had. She wanted to be a part of that, but Georgia knew better. And she wouldn't lower herself just to get drunk on a Friday night. Tossing the water she'd sipped for the better part of the night, Georgia walked up the stairs towards finding a quiet retreat away from the loud music, obnoxious laughter and overwhelming stench of alcohol.

Across the party, in the midst of the broken lamp and the giggling girl, Kaleb reached over the top of the all the guys standing around and snagged Sara's wrist. She spun around from the center of the circle with fire in her eyes that quickly melted away.
"Kaleb!" She squealed, the signature Sara squeal and threw her arms around his neck. She was drunk enough to put all one hundred and twenty two pounds behind it and Kaleb was just drunk enough to stagger a little as he caught his arm around her waist. "I broke your Mama's lamp, I'm so sorry."
"It's okay, she'll never even notice." Kaleb was already trying to develop a lie about that particular lamp. He was going to blame it on Noah for not looking when his brother said heads up and threw a basketball across the living room. Somehow, he'd make it work. "You okay, Sar?"
"I'm great!" Which was code for, I'm drunk. She was pretty drunk and all she could think about was getting her hands on her cell phone and sending a couple of booze infused messages to her secret boyfriend. She had a secret boyfriend, well, sort of. They weren't like 'official' but she was so in love with the idea of it being a secret that she didn't really know what else to be other than super excited.
"Uh-huh. Come on; let's get you off your feet."
The free beer was hitting her and Sara curled her chest against his as he walked her through the living room and towards the stairs.
"You are so good to me." She muttered, slurring her words together, but Kaleb still understood them. "I don't have to stay upstairs long right?" She looked up at him, her big eyes rimmed with a hopefully look and her lips pushing forward in a pout.
"Nah," Kaleb told her, knowing that he would get her in to bed and she would pass smooth out within a matter of minutes. They would be behind a closed door, though, alone, without all the pressures of school, friends, popularity, getting in the way. "Just long enough to get your footing back, that's all."
"Okay." Sara didn't feel much like arguing. She leaned against the wall, singing the song that she heard floating up from downstairs under her breath as Kaleb opened the door to his room and then put his hand on her waist and drew her in. She stumbled a little, hitting his chest as he put his hands on her hips to steady her. She lofted her brows, laughing, and raised her eyes to his.
