The moment Arnold parks the car at the hospital entrance, I don’t even hesitate to get out, I rush out of the car and rush into the hospital.
The moment I get in, I bump into Jonny.
“Where is she?” I ask him panting.
“Follow me.” He says and I follow him to one of the hospital’s rooms.
We get into the room and that is when Johnny takes a step aside for me and I see Maya seated on the hospital bed leaning forward and her head in her hands.
She has a handkerchief that seems to be covered in blood.
“Maya!” I call as I run to where she is.
She looks at me and takes off the handkerchief and smiles.
There is a lady nurse tending to her.
I don’t know where she even gets the strength to smile.
“I’m okay.” She says and a cough follows. She coughs on the handkerchief and I see blood on it.
