"Mom! dad!” I call as I walk towards them.
I did not expect to see them, at least not this soon.
Plus, they normally call when they are coming to visit.
And if they came with Liam then they know I lend him my car and I just won’t hear the end of it. It was supposed to be some sort of punishment to him and they would be mad that I have been giving him a little escape out of the punishment.
“My baby girl.” Mom says as she walks to where I am and pulls in to a warm hug.

She pulls from the hug and looks me in the eye and I can see her face fall.
“Aren’t you happy to see us?” She asks and I shake my head.
