The pain of a woman

chapter 1 The moon is out, everything looks beautiful,the women are using the moonlight to cook delicious meals for their men.Everyone is busy.The women are sweating due to the pain they are passing through using firewood.Agora is also busy cooking for her man,she is here and there because she has no one to help her as she cooks.She sings her favourite song as she cooks. Suddenly,she feels someone touching her ,she wondered who but the person curl his hand around her breast,then reality dawn on her that it is her husband.She turn around and plant a kiss on his fore head."What are you cooking,if I may ask","Your favourite baby". He smile and went inside to take his bath.After some minute,Agora finish preparing the food ,she dish the food and take the food to her man who was already shouting that he is hungry.She put the food on the table and they both eat the food . After the food, George thank his wife and ask her to follow him to the bedroom and top it.She is tired,anyone can read that from her look but she dare not look into her husband's face and say no,She smile and follow him inside.They got inside and the rest is history....... Chapter 2 Early in the morning by 5:30am,Agora must get out of bed to make food for her husband before that she must give him early morning s*x if she does not want trouble in her home.This has been the practice from their first day of marriage ,there is exceptions though that is during her period and this days he has stop that,maybe because it does not arouse his interest again,Agora is happy about that. Her husband does not eat just anyhow food but a food neatly cooked and garnish with vegetables.To people looking at their marriage from afar they will think that it is a peaceful marriage not knowing the woman is the one making the marriage work. Around 7:20 am she was done cooking and dishing the food in a very warm cooler because her husband does not eat cold food.She went to fetch water from the well and placed it inside the bathroom for him take to have his bath. She then go into their room to wake him up.she gently tap him as if he is a baby ,"Baby,are you not going to work today?,he yawn and stood up. Not longer after he was done with his bathing,he dressed up and then proceeded to the parlor to take his meal.He commended his wife for a job well done and left for work.Agora was surprised because it was a long time ago he commended her.She sigh as she remember her problem. Chapter 3 It has been six years since Agora and George got married.They met in a party ,it was love at first sight.Agora was dark in complexion,tall and beautiful.Her eye balls looks like a crescent that is shining brightly in a dark room. George ,who was here and there saw her as she entered into the room looking captivating.She wore a blue gown dress,it was as if the the cloth was made from Disney ,it fit her perfectly,her shape was made more vivid in the dress,She sat down majestically in all her honour. With immediate alacrity ,George losed his bearing,he could not concentrate on serving the guest .His friend who is the celebrant saw him and noticed that he is becoming restless every minute ask him what happened that is making him restless?,he confided in his friend and he told him that "If truly you want something,pursue it and make it yours,if you do nothing, nothing happens......".He nodded and went to her. He went toward her with varieties of food and drinks in a tray .He stood beside her and genuflected....... Chapter 4 Agora smiled at him and he returned the smile with a timid look."What will you like to eat or drink young lady""Anything" she replied shyly.He served her but while he was serving her ,she could not take his eyes off him,George noticed but decided to act as if he did not notice her. Immediately,the party finished,George rushed towards her and collected her number.She parted ways but their relationship grew from just a friend to a lover. After George finished school and he was able to get a job,few months later they got married.George was a very nice , caring and loving man but after four years and Agora did not conceive,He changed in all areas.Though still caring a little bit but not as before. One day, George came in from work looking tired.His wife is busy cooking curious if not meeting his wife in the parlour,he called out,"My dear,where are you?"she responded from the kitchen faintly "Yes dear,I am in the kitchen cooking"."I am coming" was his reply.He went to the room to change and before he was back food has already being dished in two plate.Thet ate in silence,George broke the silence,"My dear,I want you to stop working,I have been thinking about it lately,maybe that is the reason why you cannot conceive",she felt hot immediately as if the fan has not been working. Chapter 5 "Are you listening",he said in a loud voice,the voice echoed in her ear,"Yes,yes "she said.Write letter of your resignation letter today and submit tomorrow."But...., I cannot just leave my job like that.My boss is a very nice man,if I want to resign , I have to notify him three months before so he can look for someone to fill my space and do my work,my dear,It looks like wickedness. He laugh hard,"me!!!!,wicked,how? all because I told you to stop working,madam if you want peace in this house comply with my instructions but if u know you want to pack to your boss house don't resign. He hissed and washed his right hand in a small bowl,he stood up and went out,she could not even think,she looks blank.After ten minutes she regain her consciousness,"God,why?why is George doing this to me?.she packed the plate clearly lost in thoughts. While she was washing the plate it dawn on her that she cannot lose her marriage because of she wants to keep her job.It then dawn on her that her husband is angry. Chapter 6 Around 10pm ,her husband came in as he opened the door, she rush to greet him,still angry he passed her by,"My crown,you are the one I am greeting,""Greet yourself "he replied,you this adamant goat .She felt hurt but kept quiet."My baby ,you know I love you and will do anything to make you happy,I will quit my job but you will please give me three days so I can inform my boss" .He looked at her and finally cough to talk,"okay,just know it is for our good that I am doing this", I understand and know you are after my welfare". Agora!!!!!,what ,she jerk ," I have been knocking on your door and you did not answer,hope all is well?""All is well my friend "she answer."I am here to tell you that I am leaving tomorrow","leaving!!,where to?", remember I am going to Lagos to see Tony ,my first son.""oh! that is good, extend my regards to him ooo","I will take my leave my leave now""okay ooo".She walk her friend out. she return home tired,she go into the kitchen to get water for herself .Desire is Agora only friend,she is the only friend she has in humkol village.Her husband is a farmer ,he is also a drunkard single handedly she sponser her two children to university level,tony,the first born is now a lawyer while the second child is a teacher.Her labour and the pains she paid pay off.
