...Sienna POV...
"Silvio? But why?" Jace asks, clearly confused. I realize I forgot some details in my explanation.
"Kevin was never the mastermind behind any of it. Silvio was. He just made Kevin believe that he was spearheading everything. But Silvio had his own goal in mind." I explain.
"Which is?" Jace asks, standing up to walk to the side of my bed. I can tell we got to the part he was most interested in. Up until now, he wasn't fully interested. But these were the details he had been looking for.
"To take over Los Calaveras and bring back the Cobras." I explain.
"Silvio would've been the next heir to the Cobras, but when the FBI disbanded them, it left him with nothing."
"Wait.. Silvio isn't the heir of the Cobras. Hunter is." Jace states.
"Actually, no. Silvio has more precedent than Hunter." I explain.
"How? The only one that could claim to be the heir would be Hunter. His dad was Chase Finch after all - The Cobras' second in command." Jace counters.
"That's true. But Silvio was Blade's son." I state, receiving blank stares.
The room remains deathly silent as Jace and Ash take that into consideration. Ash is the first to move, sparing a glance in Jace's direction.
"How is that possible?" Ash asks.
"I-I d-don't know." Jace stammers.
"If Blade is Silvio's father, then who is the mother?" Ash asks. Looking once at Jace, then turning to me for answers.
"Scarlett Johnson." I reply. While I don't have proof, I can't deny the resemblance he shares with both Hunter and his mother. Silvio is practically a copy of his mother. While I've never met her, I have seen photos of her. Comes with the territory of having grown up in a family that was sought out by one of the most powerful mafia organizations in the country.
"That's not possible." Jace comments.
"Why not?" I ask, curious.
"Because Chase is Silvio's father, not Blade. Just last week, your father and I visited Jakob Johnson, Hunter's grandfather to see if he knew anything. He confessed that Scarlett had an affair with Chase and became pregnant. He never mentioned anything about a relationship with Blade." Jace commented matter-of-factly.
"Silvio told me himself that Blade was his father. He was upset that my dad killed his parents. Claiming that they had nothing to do with what happened. Which is one of the reasons why he hates Hunter. He feels Hunter got the life he was supposed to have. The Cobras were supposed to be his birthright, but my dad took that away from him when he killed Blade and Scarlett." I explain.
"But Blade was married. And from what we found out, happily so. Why would he have an affair with Scarlett?" Jace counters.
"I don't know for sure, but if I were to guess, I don't think his wife could have kids. I mean, it's the only possibility. As Silvio made it quite clear that my dad killed his parents. Not his dad. I've never seen a picture of Blade's wife. But Silvio made it sound as though she's still alive. If she wasn't then how would he have the means to go after Hunter?"
Both Jace and Ash remain silent, as they contemplate my suggestion. Again, it's not a retelling of what happened, only a hunch I happen to have.
"So let's say Silvio is in fact Blade's son, and not Chase's. Why would someone like Scarlett do that? She doesn't seem to be the mothering type." Ash comments. It's a thought I had as well.
"I'm not certain. But I think Silvio was a result of a drunken hookup. From what I'm aware, she never showed any interest in him at all. Perhaps, she had a one-night stand with Blade. I think they never had the intention of pursuing anything further until she fell pregnant. Knowing Scarlett, I'm guessing she would've attempted to terminate the pregnancy, but I'm guessing Blade stopped her."
"Why?" Jace asks.
"If his wife couldn't have kids, then he would want the child for himself, as it would go on to become his heir. I'm guessing his wife agreed for the same reasons. But I think it's also the reason why Silvio holds contempt for Blade's wife, as she's not his true mom. My guess, is while she agreed to keep the child, Silvio was a constant reminder of her husband's infidelity." I explain, attempting to put myself in their shoes.
"But again, this is all speculation. I don't know for certain. But Silvio did tell me that Hunter was in fact Chase's son." I admit.
The room remains silent once more as we all contemplate that. When neither Jace nor Ash make a comment, I decide to carry on.
"Silvio wants revenge on my parents. He's under the impression that dad killed his parents."
"Well, he did." Ash comments. Making me turn my attention back to him in astonishment.
"What?" I reply, however, Jace interrupts.
"If what you're saying is right, then your dad did kill them." Jace explains. My eyes go wide when Jace confesses the details my parents had omitted from me. I never realized that my dad had actually killed Scarlett, Chase, and Blade. I'm not sure if I'm impressed or horrified. Perhaps both.
"So what do we do now?" I ask, trying to get us back on track.
"We need to talk to Hunter. Get him on our side and hopefully take down Silvio." Jace comments, making Ash grimace. I don't miss his reaction, knowing there's something I have yet to ask.
"Where's Hunter? I haven't seen him since I told you both to leave. I thought he would've come here by now." I comment, looking to Ash, knowing he has all the answers.
"He did as you asked and went to Tomás." Ash comments, making me relax.
"Good. As he should've. I just hope he was able to get there on time." I state, glad that Tomás will be ok. I share a look with Ash, seeing that he's keeping something from me, I just don't know what.
"Does that answer all your questions?" I ask Jace.
"I think so. What about you? Do you have any more questions?" He asks.
"Actually, now that you mention it. I wanted to know how I'm alive. The last thing I remember is being strapped to a bomb, yet here I am.
"Of course. Why don't you answer that one." Jace comments, turning to look at Ash, who nods in return. Jace reaches over and gives me a gentle hug before walking to the door.
"You're not staying?" I ask, confused by his sudden departure.
"No. I need to look into your theory, and look into a way to find Silvio before it's too late." He says with a half smile. I nod my head in reply, as it only just dawns on me now that after everything we've been through, our war isn't even over.
"Meet me back in the office once you're done." Jace calls out to Ash before departing. Ash doesn't respond, but we all know he will. Instead, Ash turns his chair closer to me and takes my hand in his once more as he looks me in the eye.
"So I guess I should start from when we left you?" He asks, searching to make sure I'm ok with that. I nod my head in response before he continues.
