Chapter Three Confrontation It took about twenty-four hours for Violet to finally sort out her crazy night at Lionel Rains’ weird party. Though the truth was discouraging, Violet was a realist and she was forced to conclude that the director had used her for the entertainment of his friends and he had no intention of giving her acting career the kind of inauguration she’d hoped for.
