  Rowena POV   Freya fights against the cold flowing water of the river. She paddles her front feet as fast as she can, trying to keep her head above the water. She opens her mouth to gasp for air, but water rushes in. Panic begins to wash over me as I realize that Freya is unable to keep her head above the water. I look through her eyes and see the river bank is moving swiftly by us. We are being pulled further and further away from the South Redwood Pack.   Freya whimpers as she tries to make it to the bank of the river, and I say a little prayer to the Moon Goddess to help us. As soon as I lift up my prayer, the river shallows, and the water slows.
