ch. 6 Emma

1173 Words
Ever since she told her parents about her dream of a white wolf Emma felt that things had become awkward around their once comfortable home. She couldn't put her finger on it but something was definitely off with both of them. They used to be so affectionate towards each other. Emma couldn't even remember a time when they sat in silence at the table. She walked over to her parents and hugged them both. She was wearing a little green sundress that matched her eyes and fell just above her knees. Colin had texted her earlier that he was on his way to get her and she was brushing away the awkward silence as her dad freaking out about meeting a boy for the first time. That had to be it she said to herself. Her dad tried to give her a smile but she could tell it wasn't genuine. " daddy I promise this won't take away from my studies. you're going to love him I promise." she leaned down and hugged him. " he is really sweet and smart." her dad looked at her and gave pause when he saw her dressed up. it had been a long time since he had seen her put a dress on and makeup. her hair was curled and she took a little extra time this morning to make sure it was in place. "Honey there will never be anyone good enough for my baby girl." he sighed as he kissed the top of her forehead. " when will he be here." her dad cringed a little at his words. unsure of when she grew up and even more lost in his thoughts of having to tell her the bitter truth about her past and who she was. more importantly of who he was not. She smiled at her father. " daddy there will never be anyone that could take your place." she smiled and jumped up as the doorbell rang out. " that's him!!" she looked at her dad. " best behavior daddy" and then she walked to the door opening it. There stood Colin in a white tshrt stretched tight across his chest. damn those abs made her lose her mind a little. she could feel this nagging voice in the back of her mind saying " mine!" what the f**k? did she just growl at him? She cleared her throat a little and moved so he could walk in. He handed her some flowers and had another set for her mother. Her mother smiled at the sweet gesture. she loved a man who smoozed her. her mother was drawn in. Emma felt at ease with him. Even in class together she always had a sense of calm with him there. Colin didn't even see her take a deep breath in trying to take in as much of his scent as possible. She felt at home with his scent. Why hadn't she noticed it before? " mom. dad, this is Colin. Colin this is Darla and Dave my parents. " they both shook his hand and to her surprise her father remained calm. " nice to meet you Colin." They both said in unison. as my mother reached out to touch Colin's hand she felt a tinge of jealousy another low rumble came from her chest as a warning for her mom to back up. wtf? what was that? her eyes grew wide as she looked at her mom and then Colin and her dad. Did she just growl at her mom? she looked at Colin again hoping he hadn't heard that. what was going on with her. Darla cleared her throat before breaking the awkwardness that just erupted in the room. " you two should be off to breakfast! don't let us get in the way of your date. go on. " she shooed them towards the door. Emma handed her mom the flowers and her mom just nodded as they both walked out the door smiling at each other holding hands. She felt sparks erupting on her hand as he softly entwined his fingers in hers. They made their way to guest parking and he unlocked the door for her. Emma didn't want to let go. He opened the door and she turned towards him and his face came down towards hers ever so gently. " Emma?" He was breathing heavy. His lips ever so close to hers. " I've never been kissed before...." she blurted it out before she even realized what she was saying. his eyes grew wide and his mouth curled up into a smile. s**t! she thought. now she probably scared him away. no guy wants to hear how the girl has never even been kissed. she tensed up a little at her mouth vomiting the words. " can I be the first?" He smiled. he closed the small gap between them and pushed his lips into her soft plump ones. " you taste like cherries" he smiled as he pulled back from the kiss. Emma blushed turning red to her neck. " it's my chapstick. it's cherry. again..." she whispered the last part ever so softly but Colin did as she asked and pulled her in for another kiss. this time deeper licking her bottom lip. She gasped and opened up and he slid his tongue inside her mouth. he put one hand in her hair and the other on the small of her back pulling her deeper into the kiss. Her mind was erupting. a million different volcanoes going off at the same time. They finally pulled apart resting their foreheads against each other. " wow....." she said. Colin let out a small moan of pleasure. "We better go or I'm not sure we will ever get there." he smiled at her. She hated pulling away from his touch missing the warmth and pure ecstasy it brought her. There was nothing in her life that she could compare that kiss to. Nothing in her entire existence that could measure up. Did he feel it too? did he feel the eruption? the rush of the moment like she had? did he feel the sadness of the loss of touch? she felt it so deeply. She wanted to stay there all day just kissing this man. he pulled the door open further for her and held her hand as she stepped in to sit down. she knew there would never be anyone else in life that could make her feel like Colin just had. Emma buckled in then leaned back as she touched her lips. It was perfect. Everything she had ever dreamed of. more than what she ever dreamed of. She felt a stirring inside her as a voice rang in her head. " mine!" she whispered. s**t! did she just say that out loud? she looked towards Colin as his eyes looked at her questioningly. crap! she did say it out loud. worse she thought .... he heard it. She was absolutely sure of it.
