I'm the poster child for 'nice guys finish last,' I swear. I've waited for Mia for so long only for her to replace me within days. What did I do wrong? I keep asking myself that question over and over again. The answer? Nothing. I've done nothing wrong. I've tried so hard to be the perfect guy and it isn't enough for her.
I hate Ryder Rhodes. Mia would be mine right now if it weren't for him. I don't know why he was always so protective of her. He didn't even know me, yet treated me as if I were going to kidnap his sister and force her to be my s*x slave or something. That guy's insane and I wouldn't put it past him to do some serious damage. That's why I backed off Mia until now. When I found out Ryder was in Chicago, I wasted no time making my move.
