Five: Reginald Brody
Alpha Brent
It has been two weeks. Two weeks since I had placed my son in a cell along with that liar of a she-wolf that tried to take the title of Luna to my pack. I don’t know why he tried to pass her off as his Fated Mate. He knows that he has to have his Fated Mate in order to be blessed by the Moon Goddess. Growling I swipe my hand over my desk sending everything crashing to the ground.
I stand and quickly walk over to the big bay window that gives a view of sparling lawn leading to the woods. I watch as the pups are running playing a game of tag. “Huh, Leanora I’m just so tried. Why did our son do this? What should I do?” I say looking up at the bright sun wishing my mate and Luna was still here with me. I frown as I turn back around. “I just don’t understand it.” I mumble. He has met his Fated Mate but refuses to tell me who she is. What in the world would make him chose someone else instead of his Fated Mate.
I look at the floor as I hear my desk phone ring. I sigh bending over to pick it up. “What.” I say into the receiver. “Ummmm….” I feel myself getting pissed off at the person on the other line. “Spit it out! I don’t have all day.” I growl out as I hear whimpering on the other side. It must be one of the house Omegas that cannot stand to hear an Alpha wolf that is upset without pissing their pants. “Alpha Reginald Brody is here to see you, Alpha.” I groan and pinch the bridge of my nose. “Send in an Omega to clean my office and escort him here.” I say as an Omega rushed in before I could even hang up the phone. It took her five minutes to pick up my office. I had just sat back down in my chair when the knock came, the door opened.
I stand as a tall man with blond hair and striking green eyes enter my office. I notice he is shorter than I am but built with a muscular frame. I hold my hand out. “Alpha Reginald nice to meet you. I just wish it was under better circumstances.” He grunts nodding his head. “Alpha Brent, I understand especially if what your Elder has told me is true. I don’t want to believe it but why would he lie.” I nod my head and wave him to the chair in front of my desk. “Please have a seat.” I say sitting back down in my office chair.
“Alpha Brent, I hope you can explain to me what exactly happened and why my daughter is in your dungeons.” I grunt at him as I lean back in my chair. “First of all, both of them are in cells, not just your daughter.” I say as his eyes get big. “Both?” I nod my head as I lean forward. “Alpha Reginald, here in my pack.” I say looking at him in the eye letting him know I mean business. “The new Alpha has to have his Fated Mate. He has to claim her and her him under the light of the full moon.” I say as a there is a knock on the door. It opens with one of the maids pushing in a cart.
We are severed coffee and the maid leaves as quietly as she has come. “So, you’re telling me that your packs Alpha Ceremony is truly blessed by our Moon Goddess.” I nod my head at Reginald. “We have stories of wolves trying to take over our pack. Our Mother Moon Goddess has always protected our pack from ones meaning us harm.” I pick up my coffee cup and take a drink. “Are you trying to tell me my daughter has ill intentions towards your pack?” I look up at him and shake my head. “Honestly, I don’t know what their intentions were. What I do know is that, according to my Elder. Both of them have met their Fated Mates.”
“What!” I nod my head to him. I see the anger seething out of him as he balls up his fists. “What are you planning on doing with my daughter? Are you calling in the Elders Council?” I sake my head as I see him almost deflate in relief. “No, no need to get them involved. As long as you take her home and she never sets foot on my pack lands again.” He stands and offers me his hand. “Agreed.” He states as I also stand.
I led Alpha Reginald to the basement of our medium-sized pack house. It is where our dungeons are located. When we reach the bottom of the stairs, I head to the left and three cells down, stopping in front of a cell that holds a dirty Ann Marie who starts growling at me. “Ann Marie, enough.” I hear Reginald growl out as her eyes snap to her fathers. “Daddy, please get me out of here.” I hear him sigh. I pull the keys out of my pocket and unlock the cell. I open the door and step inside of her cell. “Ann Marie I’m releasing you into your father's care. I hereby ban you from ever stepping foot onto my pack lands.” I state as she gives me the death glare.
“You cannot do that!” I look at her bored. “If you refuse and enter my lands again, you will be placed under arrest and sent to the Elders Council for trial. Do you understand these conditions?” I watch as she looks to her father. “Do something.” She cries to him. I take a step to the side and watched their interactions. “Ann Marie, you lied under the full moon's light and tried to take the place of someone’s else’s Fated Mate. You have broken a scared law of our kind. Be thankful that Alpha Brent is releasing you into my custody.”
He then turns to me and nods his head. “Thank you, Alpha Brent. I will not forget your kindness to me and my pack today.” I nod my head to him as Troy, my son’s Beta, looks into the cell. “Troy escort Alpha Reginald and his daughter off of our pack lands.” I say as Reginald takes his daughter by her arm, leading her out of the cell. Troy follows behind him. “Troy make sure to let the guards at the gates know that she is not allowed back onto our pack lands.” He nods his head and walks away.
I turn on my heel and walk out of the cell. I then turn to the left and walk down two more cells and come to my sons. I stand in front of it and just look at him as he stares at the wall in front of him. I sigh, unlocking the door and walk into his cell.

Ann Marie
As soon as we reach my father’s limo. My whole body starts to shake as he pushes me to get in. I settle in the seat and don’t say anything as the limo starts to move towards the front of the pack lands. As soon as we are out the front gates I turn to my father. “I’m sorry that your plans didn’t work but it is not my fault.” I state as I hear him growl out in annoyance. I glance at my father and see the calculating gaze as he looks at me.
“I don’t understand how they would know that you had found your Fated Mate. Did you tell anyone?” I vehemently shake my head as he stares at me. “And what about Jack? Do you know who his Fated Mate is?” I sigh out and think about the females I have seen around Jack. “Honestly, I have never seen anyone that could possibly be his Fated Mate. He never shows interest in anyone but me.” I say chewing on my bottom lip.
“Daddy, why is it that you want to infiltrate his pack anyway? What do they have that you could possibly want?” I study my father as his face changes as emotions roll over his face. “Do you understand what happened at the Alpha Ceremony?” I think back on what had happened. “I really don’t understand what had happened. I did everything you had told me to do but…..” I shake my head once more. “I thought that those stories and the Moon Goddess were just myths.” I mumble as my father heatless chuckle echoes in the limo. “And what do you think now?”
“I don’t know….” He grunts at me. “We need to find his Fated Mate. If we take her out then you can take her place. Without a Fated Mate the Moon Goddess will have to accept a chosen mate. That is how we will get back into her good graces.” I feel my eyes fill once more with tears. “What about Brice?” I ask as my father growls at me. “He will also have to die for this plan to work.” He says hatefully as I think of my Fated Mate being killed. How could my own father not care about what he is putting me through! “I have marked him. Won’t that kill me?” I whisper out. “Leave that to me.” I hear my father say as the tears roll down my face.
