On the way back from the mall, the three of us stopped to get dinner. It was getting late, and I hadn’t had a chance to eat all day with everything that happened. We stopped at a small diner that was mostly empty. Rie and I sat in the booth across from each other, and our bodyguard was standing a few feet away, scanning the diner for anything suspicious. “Why won’t he talk to us?” I asked Rie, looking over at the bodyguard. “Oh Bruce there?” Rie said.
