Chapter 4

Alpha Sampson

"Get in here James, Now,"

"I am here I am here," he says

"What is going on,? why have you called me to your office?

"Well it would seem when you showed up at my door 5 years ago clinging to life, you told me a lie as to why you really came here,"

"What,? I do not know what you mean, my pack was attacked, everyone was killed" he says

"My wife, my daughter, everyone, I barely made it out myself."

"And yet here you are alive and well," I said

"Yes thanks to you taking me in and caring for me," he says

"Cut the s**t James," I say

"I know what you did, I know why your pack was killed and why you fled like the coward you are,"

James bolts to his feet, the chair falling over as he does,

"HOW DARE YOU CALL ME A COWARD," He yells

"May I remind you dear brother in law we are both Alpha's, I will not be disrespected,"

I couldn't help but laugh,

"Perhaps but for 5 years you have been hiding in my pack as Peter James, a mear warrior,"

"So again James cut the s**t, I know"

"And what is it you think you know Tom,?"

"I know it was your daughter who first struck the Ice Dragon, and I know it was you who finished her off,"

I could see his eyes grow big, his heartbeat racing,

"You killed the Ice Dragon, the only one inexistent for greed, you know all Alphas wanted her and you destroyed her,

then you fled for your life, you let your pack, my SISTER be slaughtered as you ran like the coward you are,"

"How, how did you find out," he asks threw gritted teeth,

"Nickoli Prax, the son of the Ice Dragon is on my territory now looking for you," I tell him

"God damn it he found me," He says

"After 5 years of not being found, I thought they had just given up and moved on"

Again I laugh

"I have talked to Mr. Prax, and let me tell you, James," I said

"He is one angry wolf, he is out for your head, and I am not sure he will stop until he gets it,"

"I have to get out of here, I must leave now," says James

"No, I do not think so James," I said

"Because of you and this Prax my sister is dead, So you listen to me you coward and you listen good, You are not going anywhere, Nickoli is alone, the stupid kid,"

"His pack is not with him,?" James asked

"No, like I said he is alone, so I will let him come here, I will let him see you,"

"WHAT? NO, HE WILL KILL ME, god damn it Tom we are still family,"

"Calm down James," I said

"I said I would let him see you, I never said kill you, It is the boy who will be sorry for coming here,"

"What do you mean,?" asks James

"Once I am done torturing him for my sister's death, he will join his mother,"

James picks up his chair and sits back down, a smile on his face,

"What's the plan,?"

Alpha Anthony Prax

"I said no Madison you are not coming with us,"

"You can not order me around anymore father," she says

"I am married and a Luna now of my own pack, you can not stop me"

"But I can,"

I look up to see her Husband Alpha Jesse Porter,

"I am afraid I agree with your father on this one my love," he says

"You can not be serious Jesse,? Nickoli is my kid brother, I have to go,"

"Your father is right it is too dangerous, you could get hurt, and I could never live with myself if it did,"

"Please Madison my dear, trust your husband and me to bring your bother back safe,"

"Fine, I will stay here, but please bring him back,"

I kiss her on the forehead hug her and climb into the car, I watch Jesse and Madison say their goodbyes before he climbs into the driver's seat and we head out to help Nickoli with 600 warriors.

Nickoli

I really hope Jesse comes through and is not far behind me, I still feel something isn't right, but no matter I can not just sit and wait for them to arrive, I need my hands on Snow now.

Finally, after a long 4-hour drive I pass the sign saying, Fort Frances,

"I am here Snow, come on out,"

I pull into the first gas station I see and begin to fill up, the scent of wild strawberries and cream, filled my nose, and my wolf Asher whimpers in my head happily, I put the gas hose back and follow the scent. It leads me inside, standing there at the counter paying for gas was a beautiful woman, with short black hair, a great ass, and an awesome figure, she turns her head my way, our eyes lock on one another,

"MATE" I growl

This can not be happening, not now, I do not have time for a mate, nor do I want a mate.

"Hello," she says, My breath catches in my throat from the sound of her sweet voice, Asher is howling happily in my head, I shake my head and look away from her, I can not get distracted, I am here to kill Snow, not take a mate.

I reach into my pocket and toss money on the counter for my gas and exit the store, I hurry to my car,

"Hey wait hold up," I hear her behind me, then I feel a spark on my arm as she takes hold of it,

"Wait," she says again

"Are you really just going to drive away,?"

"What do you want,?' I ask her

"What do you mean what do I want,? We are mates," she says

"And,?"

"And? really? Do you not care that I am your mate,?" she asks, I see a sad look on her face

"Look I am sure you are a great girl ok, and you would make any man a great mate, it is just not me," I say

"But it is you, we are mates, what is with you? why are you acting stupid,?"

"Look, I do not want a mate ok, I am sorry but I don't, now I have to go I have business here," I turn and open my car door, only she slams it shut, I snap my head towards her and see tears running down her cheek, God damn it, I hate when they cry.

"Am I not pretty enough for you, is there something wrong with me,?" she asks

SIGHS

"No, there is nothing wrong with you ok, and my god you're gorgeous, I just can not have a mate right now, I have to keep my mind clear, I can not be distracted," I tell her

"You really think I am gorgeous,?" she asks

I sigh dear god I do not have time for this,

"Yes alright, not piss off I don't have time for this,"

I climb into my car and start it up, and drive away, Halfway down the road I notice she is following me in her car, what the hell I am going to do now? I do not have time for a mate, I need to kill Snow, I have to keep all my focus on my revenge, I can not let it fall to a mate. What I am going to have to lose her. I push on the gas and speed down the street, her car falls back as I speed up, Now to find a place to stay and hide my car.
