“He did?!” Lacie asked Aries. After returning to Desert Moon, Aries and Dorian went their separate ways. As soon as he returned home, Aries told Lacie and her parents what Dorian had offered.
“Yeah,” Aries replied.
“Babe! That’s so amazing!” Lacie squealed.
“That is quite the offer, Aries. Have you put some thought into it?” Bernie asked.
“I thought about it last night and on the way home. I don’t know if I’m the right fit. I mean, just because I have the rank in my DNA doesn’t mean I’m the right choice or I’d do a good job,” Aries said, his skepticism evident, his internal conflict palpable.
