The plane landed and then taxied into an enormous bunker before coming to a stop.
We all undid our seat belts and stood up. Everyone was standing with their heads bowed except for Max and Floyd who existed first.
“It’s protocol for them to exit first and give the signal all is satisfactory or clear. Even on our own soil, it is always best to be safe especially with our new Queen”, he kissed my knuckles. It all made sense so I just nodded and let the electricity help calm me.
I closed my eyes and took a deep breath.
