Vladimir POV.
Prince Vladimir, king of Romania, everyone calls me Vlad around here, Prince Vlad house Dracul, house of the dragon, guardian of the weak. I rode my horse around my lands, I own this land, I own this village, I’m their king, their defender, I’m not going down, I would never allow my people go down.
Our lands aren’t the richest, but they are ours, we defend what’s ours, I have a wife, she’s my little thing. We have something that’s unknown around these lands, we have things our own way, we are the king and the queen, our love is different, it’s special.
Something that’s special about us, I love to take care her in every way and shape, she obeys me, she’s my little thing for me while we’re alone. Outside I’m her king, I’m the one who rules, the one who takes care of everything, but behind closed doors I’m her partner who would do anything and everything for her.
My wife, Milena, she’s my baby girl, I’m the one who wash her, I’m the one who brush her hair, I’m the one who dress and undress her. Some queens have their own maids, ones who’ll do everything for them but not my princess, she got me, I’m the one in charge of her.
She loves my attention, Milena grew up trained to be queen, she never had the chance to play or live her age, she was always a lady, never played in the mud, never ran around, never messed around while eating. All she knew was how to act like a queen, how to sit straight and talk like a snob, I hated that all, I saw under her mask, I saw in her gray eyes she yearned for more, she wanted more.
We were the perfect match, she yearned for the childhood that was taken away from her while I needed the control, I needed to feel her depending on me, it was a power exchange, she held as much power as me in our relation, she wasn’t the weak one, she’s my equal. We both gave to this relation, her submission, my dominance, my attention her needing, it was the perfect match.
We had no name for our love, no need for labels, we call it our love, our marriage, it’s our life and we’re enjoying it. Today was some saint holiday, any excuse for a party I’d say but we all could use the distraction, the war been coming and going, the Turks are closing in, we refuse to give in, I’ll never give in.
I went toward the castle, my castle, it sits on the top of a cliff, a beautiful scene and view of the green lands, the white snow that covers our lands during the winter. I got inside the castle calling to one of the younger boys, he took the horse back to the barn to take care of it, before I went down and walked in the castle in search for Milena.
She wasn’t hard to find, she’s a damn good queen, she takes care of the details, every celebration is her chance to be creative, to help with the decoration, to make sure everything is perfect, she’s just my queen.
Days like that stress her out, she need her time off, the duty gets to the best of us, and she’s my little princess, walking behind her hugging her close to my chest. Taking a deep breath of her sweet honey and roses smell, she smells special, she smells like home, like the flowers that grow up in our forest and no where else.
“Everything done?” I ask her, even if not I’m taking her away.
“Yes” she replies her body losing the day tense, she’s ready to let everything go, I’m here now.
“Time to leave” I tell her holding her hand and walking her back toward our room, the one room in the castle that no one else is allowed in, not even the maids, this is our heaven and private sanctuary.
Once in our room, I turn her in my hands for a hug, she needs it, god knows I need it too, I need her just as much as she did. This is our time for a breather before we go back to our duties as rules of the lands, I landed few kisses on her face, exposed neck, burying myself in her scent, my home.
“We need to get ready” she says in a voice that’s not queen like, it was higher than usual, it was the voice she uses when we’re alone.
“Yeah we do” I say before starting to undress her, she had a morning dress on, she doesn’t bother with corset or any of those, queen or not, I’m not letting her suffer. She mostly wear flowy dressed, a high cut and a cape to keep her warm, this our lands and our style, some jewelries are added she’s a queen of the land, she got every right to show off.
Taking off her cap, dress, showing off her smooth milky white skin, her warm strawberry blond long locks. I leave her in her undergarment before adding a dress more celebration appropriate, I made sure the dress was comfortable on her body before moving to her hair, brushing the curls down, adding a pin to them.
Finally I changed her jewelries, she had her cross on, a silver cross she have on all time, I added another necklace with a dark blue gem to match her dress, finally she was ready, letting Melina sit down on our bed happily swinging her legs back and forth.
I changed my clothes quickly before getting ready to go down to the dinning hole for the celebration, holding Melina’s hand while she smiles at me warmly, I never knew this would be our last hand holding, our last night together, if I knew I would’ve never took her out of the room, I’d kept her safe and hidden.
Down in the dining area, food was awaiting songs were being singed, everyone was enjoying themselves even us. I made sure that Melina was next to me the whole time, she doesn’t drink wine, not a big fan of it but she’d still take few sips every now and then to keep up with the cheers of our people.
The party was coming to an end most of the people around here were either drunk or falling asleep, we love hard, we party hard. We take everything seriously around here, even a simple celebration, it was our fault, our mistake for taking things granted war was hundreds of kilometers away or so we thought until the first hit. The walls of the castle vibrated making everyone stand still something was going on, the second hit came as unexpected as the first one, this one was closer some people fell on the floor looking for shelter. The third had everyone on their feet running, this wasn’t normal, this was an attack and we need to stand up for it, turning to Melina who had a scared look on her face.
“Into our room, stay there till I get you” I told her before going out toward the wreck, I was the king of this land and it’s my job to protect it.
When I made it outside, it was a clear war declaration, cannons were being shot at our walls, it’s give up or die trying, I was never someone to give up, I turned to my men motioning for them to get ready for the war.
“We’ll protect what’s ours” I yelled hearing everyone cheering me on, no one was ready to give, a bloody war was awaiting for us.
