Chapter 9 I’ll Marry You

1869 Words
Meanwhile, at Andrew’s House... Josephine was so bitter and angry that the handsome man decided to defend Grace. She was sick and tired of all the men finding Grace as the attractive one. No one dared to give her a second look and she didn’t want to be second best anymore. What did Grace have over her? She stormed through the door of Andrew’s house, hitting the door on the wall with a bang. She never bothered to knock. Andrew looked up at her. “What has you so riled up?” Andrew aked. “It’s that b*tch, Grace,” Josephine said angrily, pacing back and forth. “What did she do this time?” “She was at the restaurant with the man she slept with. How could she be so shameless?” Josephine said in anger. “Colton Miller?” Andrew asked. “Yes. How do you know that?” Josephine narrowed her eyes at him. “How do you not know? He’s Colton Miller. Does his last name not ring a bell?” Andrew asked. He couldn’t believe how clueless Josephine could be. “Miller? As in the richest family in the Caribbean?” Josephine asked. She hoped that Andrew said no because that was one more thing she would have to hate Grace for. “Yes,” Andrew replied simply. “Why?” Josephine asked no one in particular. “Why does she get all the best things and the best men?” “If he’s the best then what am I?” Andrew asked. It pissed him off to think of Grace with that man.It shouldn’t have bothered him, but it did. “I’m sorry, Andrew. You know I love you and I didn’t mean anything,” Josephine said coquettishly as she stood in front of him and placed a palm on his cheek. Every time Josephine told Andrew that she loved him, his mind went back to Grace. He could remember every detail when it came to her. From the very first moment they met until now. “Do you?” Andrew asked instead of saying it back. “Yes. Why would I do something like this if I didn’t love you?” Josephine asked. “You’re right. If you didn’t love me you wouldn’t have set up your sister so that I can get all the shares of Allen Incorporation,” Andrew said, pecking Josephine on the lips. “Now that Dad has cast her out, I will be the next in line to take over the business. And, as my husband, you will be the one in control,” Josephine said, pleased with the thought. “I can’t wait for you to be my wife,” Andrew said. Being with Josephine could get him what he really wanted, Allen Incorporation, so he would do whatever was necessary. Evans Company Limited was already large and could stand on its own, but if merged with Allen Incorporation, then they would move up in rank and in society.. “That the perfect idea. Let’s get married,” Josephine said with glee in her eyes, causing Andrew to pull away from her. “What’s the rush?” He asked. “We will have plenty of time.” “You said you can’t wait for me to be your wife, and I can’t wait for you to be my husband, so let’s do it,” Josephine said like she had it all figured out. “I don’t think it’s a good idea. People will hate you for getting married to your sister’s ex fiance,” Andrew tried to be a voice of reason, though it was only for his benefit. “I don’t care. She’s a wh*re. She slept with another man on the night of your engagement,” Josephine said angrily. “Josie, remember we set her up,” Andrew reminded her. He was slightly regretful because he could have been Grace’s first. He could have had a virgin for a wife, like his family wanted. But, he was doing this for a reason. “Yeah, but the world doesn’t know that. They only know that she cheated,” Josephine said. “Josephine, let’s just wait,” Andrew sighed. He couldn’t believe that he’d thought he loved her. She could be overbearing at times. “OK, but I have a present for you. Meet me in the bedroom in ten,” Josephine said in her most sultry voice then walked away, swaying her hips in the process. “What the hell did I get myself into?” Andrew asked himself as he ran a hand through his hair and down his face. Back at Harry’s… Colton didn’t know why, but he was relieved when Grace said yes to his marriage proposal. She was determined to get revenge on her family. So much that she agreed to marry a man that she barely knew because of one s*xual encounter between them. He’d told her there were conditions, but he hadn’t told her everything that he expected from her if he helped her. He wanted her to want him as much as he was beginning to want her. It was strange, because Colton hadn’t had a woman, or thought of one since Grace entered his life a few days ago. He sometimes called for an escort if he wanted to relieve himself, which was why, when Grace showed up inside his room the night they slept together, he thought she was one. He only knew she was a virgin when he saw the blood on the sheets. Everything clicked because why would a virgin be an escort? Colton began to get aroused thinking about that night. He could remember every sound that she made as he brought her to ecstasy. Grace yawned, bringing him from his reverie. She looked tired. “Do you want to go home,” Colton asked Grace. “Yes, I’m sorry.” “Don’t apologize,” Colton said, then waved the waiter over. “Can I have the check please?” Grace watched as Colton pulled out his wallet and grabbed a random credit card from it. One day, she too wanted to live like him, but she wasn’t going to spend his money. She wanted to accomplish this on her own. Have her own money and make a name for herself. He pulled back her chair and they walked out of the restaurant hand in hand. Grace hadn’t seen him call or text the driver, but he was already waiting with the back door opened for them. She was happy about it because the past few days were just beginning to weigh her down. Throughout the ride home, they said nothing to each other, and Grace thought it might have been because of her telling him how tired she was. Besides, what would she say to him. He told her that he would help her and she agreed to marry him. What do you say to someone after that? Grace scooted over and rested her head on Colton’s shoulder. She didn’t know when she fell asleep, but when she came to, she was inside Colton’s home, in his bed, and it was two in the morning. Grace only realized she was half naked when she lifted the sheets, swung her legs over the side of the bed and felt a cool breeze on her thighs. Grace was wearing a large t-shirt, that smelt so much like Colton, with only her panties underneath. She was horrified that he’d changed her while she was unconscious, though she knew he hadn’t tried anything, because if he did, she would be sore. Grace remembered the morning she woke up after Colton had taken her virginity. Her lady parts was swollen and on fire. Grace was about to get up, to ask Colton why he had changed her and what she was doing in his room when she heard the knob on the door jiggling. Quickly, Grace lay back in the bed and pretended to be asleep. She tried to even out her breathing as best as she could, so that Colton wouldn’t suspect that she was awake. Grace couldn’t help the gasp that passed through her lips when Colton joined her on the bed, causing him to chuckle. Damn it! She had been caught but decided to say nothing. “Grace, I know you’re not sleeping,” Colton said. She didn’t reply, thinking that if she remained quiet, he was going to go to sleep. She spun quickly when his hand landed on her waist. The heat of his hand equaled the heart in her cheeks. “What are you doing?” She asked. “I thought you were sleeping,” Colton said with raised brows, making Grace blush at her attempt of fooling him. “Does that mean if I was fast asleep you would have tried something with me?” She asked angrily. “No. I wouldn’t do anything to you when you’re asleep, because when I f*ck you again, you will be aware of everything I’m doing to you,” Colton said, causing Grace’s eyes to pop out in shock. “Oh, my God!” That was the only thing she could say at the moment. “Grace, I changed you out of the dress last night and saw your firm naked breasts. If that didn’t make me take advantage of you, I don’t know what would,” Colton said. This man was ought to make her heart jump out of her chest because of the way he brazenly spoke to her. He portrayed himself to be a gentleman, but those words were anything but gentle. “Why did you change my clothes?” “You looked uncomfortable in that dress,” Jacob replied. “You could have waken me up,” Grace sat up and folded her arms, which was a big mistake because her n*pples were prominent through the thin material of Colton’s shirt. “Why are you so bothered by me helping you out of your dress?” Colton asked. “Because you saw me naked,” Grace replied. “I’ve seen more than that a few nights ago. You didn’t protest while I had my face between your legs,” he said. Grace jumped out of bed because if she stayed she couldn’t be responsible for what would happen next. Make no mistake, Grace wasn’t running away from Colton because she didn’t like what he was telling her. In fact, it was the opposite, she was turned on by his dirty words. The evidence was in her underwear. She rushed to the door, hoping to escape Colton, but as soon as she opened it, a large hand came up beside her and shut it again. She spun, facing Colton, her heart beating at a rapid pace. He was looking down at her and since he was taller, Grace felt like a prey with him being the predator. She was extremely nervous. When she couldn’t take the silence and the simmering heat between them, Grace spoke. “What do you want, Colton?” He answered without hesitation. “You, Grace. I want you. Will you let me have you?”
