The day of my scan rolled around quickly. Emily had booked the day off so she could come with me. I really didn’t want to be the only one there alone. I knew the waiting room would be full of loved up couples and that would be too painful to handle on my own. The hospital wasn’t far, so we walked down together in the unseasonably warm weather.
